Try melatonin, a natural supplement. Or valerian, an herb that induces sleep.

A good night's sleep will happen after a healthy sleeping pattern is established. People with irregular sleep habits tend not to sleep well.

The comfort of the sleeping area can also make the difference. If the mattress is too soft or too stiff for the individual, he/she will toss and turn more if the mattress doesn't provide the proper resistance.

If environment isn't an issue, try valarian root or a warm drink before bed.

Here's a list of things you need to do:
1) Use your bed for sleep and sex only. No reading, writing, eating - all other activities need to be carried out elsewhere.
2) Get into a routine at night that is calming. About 20 minutes before you get into bed, take a bath, brush your teeth, etc.
3) Don't eat for three hours prior to sleeping.
4) Turn off TV's, computers, bright lights and loud music a hlaf hour before sleep.
5) When in bed concentrate on your breathing until you drift off - if you aren't asleep in 20 minutes, get out of bed and do a calm activity to get yourself tired.
6) Keep the clock out of sight - it's distracting.
And if those don't work...
7) Try Melatonin. It's a natural compound found at health food stores that can help your body get back into the groove of sleep.

Hope it works!
