Christianity is the only religion where faith is the sole path to heaven. I truly think this makes sense. With all of the things that we constantly do that are sinful, how can we do more right that wrong? It's impossible. We need atonement for sins and Jesus paid this price. So, we are saved because of love and not because of works. I love God so much because he first loved me and sacrificed himself for me. For you too.
Another way to think is how can an imperfect thing such as you and I enter a perfect place. That doesnt make sense to me. Are you really so arrogant that you think you deserve heaven?
To compare to Islam... Islam basically says God has the final call on whether you enter paradise or not. So you never know. He is very distant. You hear the saying - It is Allah's will. What kind of a loving God is that?? Well, Allah and God are not the same since they are completely different. Just read the Koran and Bible and compare. God is loving, died for us, and gives a extremely CLEAR way to get to heaven. Allah does not. I don't believe he exists at all or maybe he is something else.
Think of the love, compassion, emotions that we have. That comes from God since we were made in his image. He is loving, he cares, he wants to be your best friend, and he wants to save you from the fiery depths of hell.
Can you not accept the friendship and love that no one else can give? Please email me if you wish to discuss further - maxtex19@yahoo.com.
God Bless.

It's true that maybe all good will just lead to one Great (est) good, which is the Highest Being, or who I know as Allah.
But, it's not really a matter of being right or wrong - it's a matter of obeying God when He asks us to - and so if He has told us to give up something and take something else in it's place, that is what it is. And in the mean time, no one has the right to bash another person, for each person is given free will by God, and they are allowed to use it in whatever way they would like - and Allah has clearly given everyone the answer to their choice. :)
The importance is not BEING right, but what's important is to dooo what is right and help others on the right way, too (if you truly believe that you are indeed, right.)
Okay, I really hope that made some sense! :)

Religion is man made doctrine and no single thing has come closer to separating God and man; especially western religion. There have been many who have found the path and experienced God, and upon trying to share the path, have had their work bastardized and nullified through the fascist, self serving social/political/religious elite and their agenda. My current archetype of “the path” is simply explained in Steven Levin’s “A Gradual Awakening” and echoed by many other spiritually enlightened literature. Another good source is John Welwood’s Journey of the Heart : Path of Conscious Love.

Its very possible that there is no right religion. Most paths do lead to the same higher power just with different names. But several others lead to many higher powers or none at all it up to you to decide. People want to be right because a lot of people don't have the guts to admit that they're wrong or that they may be wrong so instead they constantly try to prove them self right or prove others wrong.

you're asking a very interesting and philosophical question. perhaps it is true that all paths will lead to God or a higher power, if the path that one takes is holy and righteous. however, the definition of what is right has to be defined. religions vary in their meaning, practices and beliefs. should we say that a religion that believes in suicidal bombing and killing others, should be placed in a category that you're contemplating? somehow even a religion has to have some basic guidelines. and invariably these guidelines and practices must focus on righteousness and not evil. and, a righteousness that promotes loving every man or woman in spite of their belief system. I'm only aware of one righteousness that promotes this type of love - Jesus.

Yes, this could be true. Different religions might be right for different people. The only wrinkle in the eyes of Judaism is that any religion or belief system would have to abide by what Judaism considers "universal" laws given to Noah, but the specifics of ritual and practice are not listed except for those who happen to be Jews.

that is so true, but people don't like to see it that way. If God is omniscient, then He can know your heart and He would know that you have faith on Him, whether you were born in any part of the world or in any part of the universe. People talked about the soul, but no one behaves accordingly. They say that the soul is real, but nobody asks how the soul should act or what is its business. Even though they talked about the soul, they identify themselves with their bodies and everything that belongs to them, therefore their logic is I was born in this place, within this religion therefore it must be right. otherwise my self would be wrong. They don't understand that the engagement of the soul is only one, and whatever that business of the soul is, you can call that religion.

Why assume any of it is true, or has the potential to be?
When a claim is made, the burden of proof is on the claiment. If they can not provide evidence for their god, atheism is demanded by honesty and reason.
Asking which is the right path to god assumes there is a god, and there is a path. Prove that first, then ask again.

You nailed it right on the head!!!!!!! Religion is just a control issue with people. God is inside of you and not exterior at all. You can see God in many things around you but the truth to which all people seek is always from within! Self doubt is the cancer of life. When we doubt ourselves that is when we have problems outside with other people, we doubt our own capabilities and our God within. If you don't believe in anything at all, then believe in yourself! That is truly finding God!
