I treat people the way they treat me. If I'm conversing with someone who happens to be Christian and they respect my beliefs and ask only respectful questions, then I will do the same for them. If I'm talking to a Christian who can only seem to insult and mock me for my (lack of) beliefs, then I'll insult and mock them back.
I always approach everyone as though they are going to be nice until they prove me wrong.

Being a Christian I am going to do just what you said not to do and give you an honest answer. I would love it if atheists would learn about what we as Christians believe. Then we could have a real open honest discussion. How can you mock something you really don't understand or even know about? Read the book of John and go to church for a couple of weeks. You don't have to believe just study what we believe and have an open honest discussion.

Look trough the history. Look trough the wars. Take exmaple from Christian inveted Spanish inquisition. Or take example of their Love msg ( go to hell) Or Lets make a Great flood and save only POPE with his animals. So i would say for them to understand what they did to the world they have to taste thier own medecine. And then we can use thier slogan' All that eveil for thier own greater good"
Therefore GOD and insanity exist.
PS. Lets start selling them miraculis drugs and paryaers. THat's the only thing that helps them anyway. Or may be turn Christian into the muslims and turn muslims into the Christians just for a day.
To person fwe heads below me. When those Christians invent that Jesus said do unto others.... and blalblab. at least they should read the bible not to Embarrass the whole Christiniaty. Its in levitus. Way before your Jesus even was in grand plan. But than again how would they know if they never read their beloved book of lies.
Therefore Christianity proves that stupidity goes in parallel with infinity.

By not disrespecting them. Respect is a two way street. Sure, it's not likely to ever happen. But eventually, one side is gonna have to be the 'bigger man'. Sometimes I think the only reason people choose atheism is to have an excuse to attack Christians. Christians in turn react defensively. Granted, they act defensively no matter what you do, but that's beside the point.
As it stands, Atheists are presenting themselves no better than the most judgemental of Christians. Think on that for a while.

Seems as if we have arrogant, insensitive, (uh, is there a ladylike way of saying assholes?), on both sides of this issue.
We also have Christians who are honestly seeking to share what they honestly believe to be important information...they truly believe that they can help someone find everlasting life, and they are willing to risk ridicule for that. Don't they deserve a bit of respect for wanting to share their most important possession--their faith--with others?
On the other hand (besides different fingers), we have atheists who honestly think that Christians are wasting their lives worshipping a non-existent God, when they could be furthering their education and enjoying their natural life-spans. And don't they also deserve respect for wanting to share what they consider important--their education--with others?
People who are honestly trying to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ are no more responsible for such things as the inquisition or the holocaust than scientists are responsible for Hiroshima. Hipocracy and greed, on both sides, have caused these things, and as human beings, we all ought to be ashamed.

It doesn't matter if it's an Atheist, Agnostic, Satanist, or anyone else Christians must be forced to answer why they love a God that is so blood thursty and hateful towards anyone he calls an enemy. Especially since this God according to the christians bible said Love your enemies! Clearly this God is a hypocrite and sadistic as hell! Just look at his track record in the christains bible!
Mock their stupidity at every turn!

Personally, I look at it this way. Their mission according to scripture, is to brainwash everyone into believing in their false god. It is my personal mission to de-program as many of them as possible.
I find that the path to truth is always knowledge. My personal conversations with Christians have always been based on data from the Bible. Christians are very good at rationalizing everything in their experience. I have noticed however, that there are many things about their religion that Christians are simply not exposed to.
Their church leaders stick with a basic program based on certain passages in the Bible. As a result, most Christians don't get exposed to the bulk of the text. Even the ones who read the book in its entirety are constantly being exposed to a relatively small portion of the Bible in church, which is what they are more likely to remember and base their personal beliefs on.
The ability to quote scripture and dissect their beliefs using the words of their own holy text has always served me well. Below is a link to a site that actually has Atheist pamphlets available for downloading. They are free to copy and distribute.
I have used these in the past and created some of my own using them as a guide.
My simple approach to 1-on-1 conversations with Christians is simple. Be knowledgable, be rational, and be charismatic while speaking with them about their beliefs. It is precisely the same approach used by priests to brainwash them into the various Christian cults.
I also employ several tactics that are intended to reach as many people as possible. Aside from pamphlets, I also place signs by the highway, across from local churches, most of which are more direct, and not always nice.

As an atheist it is almost impossible to share your beliefs with a Christian without it sounding like you are mocking or insulting them. Anytime you say you believe something so differenlty than them, they can take it as you imposing your views on them. If you really truly want to "help" Christians, you need to steer clear of any mocking or mean/rude overtures. You will have to find a forum in which you can voice your opinion fairly and have them agree to listen to you. Then you will have to state your beliefs very diplomatically, and also be willing to listen to what they have to say in reply.
I personally agree that they are in need of reason and common sense, but I have not yet figured out an adequate way to share it with them.
As for the "no atheists" question you showed us, I agree that it is the good-natured but misguided approach. However, they really do believe they need to "help" us, and it is that exact mindset that makes me think it is impossible for US to help THEM.

Perhaps buying a lot of muzzles and using them on the ones that insist on trying to convert you would work. As for the rest of us who think you have your own mind that works just fine, don't mock. What goes around comes around. Whatever is out there, God, karma, luck, will get you if you are mean.

If you're atheist that's fine, I'm pagan and loving it. You shouldn't really mock christians or anybody following a religion. If they start preaching or attempting to convert, then contradict them. Enjoy being atheist and maybe one day you'll find a different path that will suit you. I know I did and I'm only 20.
