I know exactly what you are talking about- and it isn't stinky breath. Tap water has differnt minerals added to it (required by the city you live in). If they sit, they start to give the water a wierd taste. It isn't bad though. BUT, bottled water doesn't taste any different the next morning- or the next 2 weeks. It is stripped of all those minerals and tastes the same every time.

So instead of taking a glass of water to bed at night, take a bottle of bottled water. Trust me, you will thank me later.

If you fill your glass with the water that comes out of the tap the moment you turn the water on you are getting the water that has been sitting stagnent in the pipes. Let the water flow for a moment before filling your glass.
