No. He never told anyone to worship him. The morons started doing that all on their own. I think it was wrong of him to not stop them, perhaps he did and no one wrote that part down.

First I am a Christian and I know that the bible is the only book that I live by because it is in my heart. In my heart I feel that Jesus is the only way. If you dont accept him, then you will not feel him.

Jesus is the SON of God, it says in John8:42 Jesus said to them: If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own, but he sent me." God gave Jesus the authority when Jesus died on the cross for EVERYBODYS sin. Not for just the believers, but for the non-believers as well. He does not want to be worshiped as in a way you would worship an idol.

Revalation 21:6-8
He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

Jesus encouraged worship. There are many instances throughout the New Testament . Here's one in Luke 17:

15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.
17 So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? 18 Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19 And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

There are many more examples of this.

Maybe your mindblock lies in the way your question was worded: you said you couldn't worship Him as "a God." Jesus IS GOD. There is only one God. Belief in the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) is not belief in three gods, it's belief in one God who has three distinct forms.

Your "insane problem" is also Satan's original lie: "you can be as gods." Just look where that lie has gotten us. We are not gods. We are human beings, created by God.

Wow, sounds like you kind of need a shrink a little bit. I'm not God and Jesus was not meant to be worshipped on earth. It wasn't until He reached His full potential (after resurrection) that He should have been worshipped and even then people were to freaked out that He was walking around that they totally forget to worship Him before He ascended.

You don't lack the chromosomes, you lack the will. To believe or not is a choice, nothing different. But that's your decision and I am OK with whatever you decide as you have free will.

As to the second part, Jesus is God and he never tried to hide that fact. I could give you over 50 references, but here's 3 just to get you started.

Book of John Chapter 1, verses 1-5 (John 1:1-5)
Book of John, Chapter 10, verse 30 (John 10:30)
Book of Hebrews, Chapter 1, verses 5-12 (esp. vs. 8)

No, Jesus did not say it nor did he intend to be worshiped. He said that the Father was greater than he was and he always gave God glory. He leads people to God. Jesus is the son of God, not God.

Jesus never demanded or even asked to be worshiped but he excepted worship. Many fell down in his presence and worshiped him. John explains to us in the first few verses of his Gospel that Jesus is indeed God. Any idea or teaching that says we are ourselves Gods is a lie supported by Satan..

Actually, Jesus said "You believe in God, (now) believe in me"

Implied in the use of the words "believe" and "believe" is a same-ness - whatever you believe about God, believe the same about me - or, HOW ever you believe in God, believe in me in the same way.

He was not looking for worship while on earth, because that would contradict his whole purpose in coming - to become man so as to be able to represent God to man, and represent man to God.

But the Bible says that EVERY knee shall bow, and EVERY tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord, to the glory of God.

I don't think Jesus wanted to be worshipped as God.

Of course not. He was a prophet. He was godly. He was the "essence of god." He was the only man who had become fully enlightened within his single lifetime. He actually led and practiced and represented a very buddhist life and mentality. If you research buddhism, you will see that Jesus embodied that system of beliefs, code of ethics and their proposed enlightenment...what they are all in search of in each of their incarnations. Upon realizing this, he chose to share it with other, to practice and preach his findings and his knowledge. He wanted us all to be enlightened and to show us that we all had the power to vibrate at the spiritual level he sustained. He was like a tall, thin, hairy Buddha.

People worship Jesus, because He is God. He's part of God's Spirit who came to earth to destroy the works of the evil one. His sacrificial blood is soooo precious. Using Jesus' name demons are casted away and sickness are healed. This shows the authority of Jesus over the spirits/ diseases on earth.

John 20:31
But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Acts 3:16
By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus' name and the faith that comes through him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can all see.

Acts 4:10
then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.

Acts 4:30
Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus."

Acts 8:12
But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

1 Corinthians 5:4
When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present,

Ephesians 5:20
always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
