As long as it's done right it's okay. Not like Serena Williams or Brittany Spears.

I've tried it. Its' not me. I'm too self conscious wearing a weave, worried if you can see a weft and whos staring at my hair thinking its not mine. You have to have the mentality of yeah this is my hair on my head....I bought it....lol

Some women can pull it off and you'd think its their naturally grown hair...then again some can't pull it off, and they dont care cause they go around looking like they need a touch up, tighten up, or a whole new weave.

I've learned how to grow my natural hair out and its long and beautiful where I don't need a weave.

Power to you ladies and yes, gentlemen that can wear it well.

I personally am one black girl that will never get a weave, or extensions. The only time I had fake hair on my head was when i got these really nice twists put in my hair, going back like cornrows. She put my hair in a bun and then covered it with fake hair, so it wasn't mixed in with my real hair it just sat on top of it. i don't know, I just have this thing about fake hair...

Not only black women wear weaves!!! duh..... white women actually discovered "weaves" as we know them today. Dolly Parton was the first one known for wearing "hair pieces" Anyway........
a weave is fine as long as it is done right. These wrong color, wrong texture, OBVIOUSLY false hair, weaves are NOT right at all!!! Match the color, texture and have it put n the right way (cap is the preferred way now, it preserves the hair by preventing glue to get on ur hair) and u have a TIGHT weave!!!

I'm a white girl so hair weaves just don't work for me but I think they are really pretty.

If you need ideas for different styles my cousin uses this website for her daughter.

Child,as long as the tracks aren't showing and it's clean,I'm happy!
Weaves are great if the person is trying to protect their own hair,a popular style...the ponytail.

--I have dated black women with and without weaves. Go for the natural look, Weaves are awful and come out at the exact wrong time and generally come off looking faker than plastic breast.

I love them, you can go for a natural look or very extreme...saving the hair you have. I was very apprehensive but once my sister talked me into getting one I love the options I have. My natural hair won't hold a curl, now I can walk around like shirley temple if i want too.

well, for someone who has never worn a wig, hairpiece or any fake hair at all, i personally think fake hair is dumb. i place weaves in the same category. BE YOURSELF!
