The standard is 2 - 3 days, but you can rinse it anytime you want to get it under control - NO SHAMPOO AND NO CREAM RINSE!

It's actually not a bad idea to skip daily washing for a few weeks until your hair starts to overcome the "trauma" of the perm. You can wash it every few days, just not daily. Perms really strip your hair of oils and it's difficult to get it healthy again.

After two weeks, consider an over-the-counter hot oil treatment. It might loosen the perm just a bit, but it will help restore the oils that make hair look healthy.

Two days is always best, but if your hair takes very well to curl (a perm usually lasts you a long time) then the next day is fine. It's always nice to get rid of that awful smell.

I think you should ask the person who permed your hair or a professional cause not all perms are the same and not all hair is the same. So, to be on the safe side talk a profeessional.

24-48 hours

I can't believe people are still perming their hair! PERMING is what damages your hair...not washing it afterwards! :P

48 hours. That is how long it takes for the natural oils in your hair to set in the chemicals.
