if you are encoding your recorded content to dvd-video then you should be able to fit anywhere from 60 minutes to 240 minutes on one 4.37GB dvd.

Sadly i do not have Roxio or Nero 7. In Nero 6 (Nero vision express) you can change two things to fir more software or less on the disk. If ou are sing nero put more clips into your project and it should adjust the bitrate accordingly.

In your nero Smart start enable dvd tasks, and look for something like make/create DVD video (MAKE YOUR OWN DVD VIDEO in version 6 on the phot video menu). in the program look for VIDEO OPTIONS and click the DVD-VIDEO tab. Set QUALITY to CUSTOM And then BITRATE to about 2000kbps.

If possible use Dolby 2.0 as it will take less space as Stereo (LPCM) .

with dolby stereo and video rate at 2000kbps you should be able to burn anywhere from 240 min to 300 min's of video with audio.

I presently use Tmpegenc to convert my video to the correct aspect ratio and format for DVD. If your video is already the correct dimentions (720x480 for NTSC or 720x576 for PAL) then use Adobe Encore DVD(it's not free) or some other software used for dvd creation like DVD Lab pro(I have never used it, might be free, search teh web). Encore works best for me as it gives me more control over the process, is more specialized than Nero and Roxio in the DVD-Video creation area, transcoding however takes just as long as the other two apps.
