I got mine pierced when I was 18 and it felt like a pinch. I don't see how waiting a few years is going to ease the pain, if you're very sensitive that is. Perhaps your mom is hoping that after few years you will not want to get the piercing.

i hope you want your belly pierced because you want it done and not because it is a fad? i use to pierce, and 99% of the peeps said it dose not hurt. but here are a few things to thing about. when you get oierced you need to stay away from the sun until it heals, (4 to 8 weeks), no hot tubs, swiming pools, suntan loation, or any other thing that can cause infections. until healed. you shoud wash it at least 2 to 3 times a day with and anti bactireal soap, talk to several local piercers before you get pierced. and remember when you have babies, you will get stretch marks comingfrom your pierced areas. good luck

well, the first time I got mine done, not I felt no pain. I just stared at the wall. afterwards(like an hour) the pain kicked in. The second time I got it done (I took it out for two years, i got preggers), i had them re-pierce it right through the old hole (you can have them off set it a little) and it went through the scar tissue and it did hurt like HELL!

It will hurt for a little while - just keep it really clean and wear low waistbands until it heals so you aren't twisting the piercing.

No. Mine didn't hurt at all. The clamp that they use was a little uncomfortable. After it's all done, as long as you keep it clean, you're fine.

Mine didn't... it hurt less then having my ears pierced.. it all depends on your pain tolerance too.

not if your not paying attention. take someone with you to keep you company and to talk to you to keep your mind away from it.
