I am fat! I also have asked God for help and gotten it and fallen off the wagon again and again! In my case, I am weak but I do know that God is there to help each time I ask him. Eventually I believe that I will be an overcomer in this area as soon as God and I agree on the matter.

You're no atheist. Even your anti-hero, Charlie Darwin, said, "To suppose that the eye could have been formed by natural selection, seems I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree." So if man cannot even begin to make a human eye, how could anyone in their right mind think that eyes formed by mere chance?

Gallup, the famous statistician, said, "I could prove God statistically; take the human body alone; the chance that all the functions of the individual would just happen, is a statistical monstrosity."

I think that Christians do ask god for help losing weight, but the requests get filed along with the answers to other prayers, such as curing cancer, healing amputees or creating world peace.

You are mistaken. There are 3 of us that meet regularly because we are overweight and know that we need God to help us lose weight. We weigh in and we pray during our meeting asking God to help. Some weeks we listen to Him better than other weeks and do better in the battle of the bulge. Other weeks we do not do so good.

Everybody has their weakness. Ours is just more visible.

God isn't going to miraculously poof a magic wand, and they wake up 50 pounds lighter. God has great respect for hard work and commitment. He'll help you along, but He won't hand you everything on a silver platter.

They can ask for that, but that is not benefitting their spiritual health.

some may become concieted or think they are better than other when they lose the weight, God knows best, If he wanted all to be skinny, he would of made us all one size.

However, it is proven, that bigger people are nicer.

because many fat people think something is wrong with them that they cannot lose weight...

they think the weight problem is their fault... it may be..

but nobody like to humble themselves to ask for help with something they think they have not been trying their absolute best to overcome!

They do but they want God to change them overnight with a miracle. They don't want to do the work of eating less and exercising more.
