Cats like to be up high so they can see their surroundings. They also like warm, cozy items. A car isn't cozy but it can be warm and surely is warmer than a concrete garage floor.
I would set up a corner or a wall space area for them. Buy one of those cat houses and tress you see at the pet stores. Put some shelves up on the walls covered in carpet but staggered like stairs. Just make sure the items have a higher spot then what they prefer on the car as well as very comfortable and warm.
If you had to be in the garage.....look around.....where would you choose to sit? Concrete floor or the fender/hood? Can't blame them for wanting to be more comfortable and I am sure concrete doesn't feel good on paw pads that are more sensitive then any hair on our body.
Or best is move them indoors, garage is like a jail cell, let them be part of the family.
The puking can be a serious issue.
Could be as simple as the cat is allergic to the food you are giving it or it feels that it doesn't get enough food so it gorges itself until it pukes. Could have a tape worm or other internal problems. Could be getting into chemicals in the garage. Could be getting sick from carbon monoxide from the cars.
If a car is pulled into a garage and the door is shut and the car is turned off, even though it is off the car still radiates carbon monoxide for up to 1 hour. In a closed space this can reach a level that is harmful or deadly to animals and small children.
Take the cat to the vet with the vomit to get checked out.

Either don't let them in the garage or get a spray bottle and fill it with water and spray at them when they're on top of the car. Eventually they'll learn not to get on top of the car (most cats not all).

properly, if there arent any automobiles contained in the storage, it may properly be fantastic. because if there are automobiles, the cat may pass below them and lick oil or gas by mistake and get heavily ill. yet as long as its no longer too chilly, its fantastic, yet cats favor to roam round, so being stuck in a storage would properly be very uninteresting for the cat. As for insects, i'm no longer certain, keep a lookout for them and tell your moms and dads to keep him interior in case you be conscious a bee or spider contained in the storage. yet from whats you're saying your cat has finished, it isn't something compared to what mine has finished in my domicile. even as they're toddlers they reason distinct difficulty and favor to stumble on. enable him get used to the domicile and also you may see his undesirable habit decrease in some weeks.

Spray them with water when you catch them doing it. The other option is to just close the door to the garage.

think yourself lucky they want to sleep on your car. cats are discriminate. allow them in the house! they like to lay on warm cars. use a washable car cover if it bothers you so much. you get all comfy in your bed, why shouldn't they get comfy too? put a soft cat bed on the car and see if they sleep in that if you are adamant about them not coming in, you selfish human you!
