sensitive material relates to special skills you might hold (such as being able to fluently translate russian and french). Military intelligence is involved heavily in classified information as well as well placed brass in the pentagon. Although they are not military, the CIA probably knows more secrets about the military then many officers. As what has been mentioned already, your not guaranteed anything by your recruiter. The military puts you where they need you; not what you need.

Number one you should never use the military as a last resort because with that attitude you will never make it out of basic training. Second most of the top secret jobs in the military that you are looking at are not jobs that you can just sign up for with your recruiter, they are jobs that you have to apply for once you are in the service and have been for a certain period of time. In most cases to apply for a top secret security clearance they want some time in service and want some kind of military record they are not just going to hand it to whoever wants it. Last you need to understand that a job that gives you access to that kind of information is a great burden it is not a badge that you get to wear on you chest. It is a job that you cannot speak of it is dangerous and you literally have the country on your shoulders those are things you need to think about, it seems to me you have the Hollywood idea in your head of the "secret agent" type job but the reality may not be so glamorous.

If your going to use the military as a last option don't even bother. You won't enjoy yourself because you would rather be doing soemthing else. Joining the military is a life altering decision, don't do it because you have nothing else to do. If your mind and heart aren't in it 100% your making the wrong decision. Stay home and mooch off your parents. I knew i wanted to become a soldier when i was 15 and i've been at it for 10 years. I was a paratrooper and have been deployed twice. Think long and hard because your decision affects not only you but all the people around you. Luckily i'm not a recruiter.

All branches are involved in Top Secret Operations. Whether or not you qualify to hold any of those positions is another story. A recruiter can't guarantee a clearance. The fact that you are targeting those operations would cause me to suspect your motives. Hope this helps.
