I've never seen it done....... I don't know how the guests would take it..... it may look tacky..... I would not do it...... but it's your wedding and if that's what you need to make your day right, go for it. Just be prepared for some comments.

Hello,
Instead of at the wedding why don't you incorporate that into an engagement party. At the wedding it would make you seem unequally and the the guest may have a hard time seeing him. And most will wonder "what is he doing? and Why?" Or maybe before the garter toss (which is done on his knees) have him do a reading to you of a love poem or write some how he feels about you.

Have him propose to you in private. Tell him to make it a surprise so you won't be expecting it. I think it might look a little odd at the wedding and to be honest, how important is the way he was standing anyway? Would it really be more special or more important if he was on one knee rather than standing?

i think maybe instead u shud just ask for a proper proposal..that might strike people as weird if they saw it at a wedding! just give him the ring back and tell him to surprise u with a proposal. i think it wud be bbetter

He is making his vows to God, not to you. If he kneels to God, then you should be kneeling too.
Maybe you should save this scene for the honeymoon. He can propose consumating the marriage and you can make him beg as much as you like, hehe.

it would look pretty silly for him to say his vows on one knee however its not uncommon for couples to exchange vows over those benches (the name escapes me right now) where you both get on your knees and exchange vows. having him on one knee would just look silly and wouldn't make up for the lack of a proper proposal.

No. Why not wait until your first anniversary, and have him ask you (preferably w/ an anniversary ring) to marry him "all over again."? Having him kneel will make him look like he is not equal to you, and marriage is a partnership.
Plus, my way, you get more jewelry!

Its different. But if you want to do it, then do it. Its your wedding do whatever you want. If nobody likes it then too bad for them.
