Usually there is seating at a wedding, where when you walk in, you are told which table number to go to, but not necessarily where to sit once you get to the table. I'm just wondering (more like a survey), if people prefer to be shown where they will be sitting, or just be told which table number to go to. This may be a question for theknot.com, but I just thought I'd ask it here to try and get an unbiased opinion (and not one just from future bride to be's)

I think it is better for people just to be directed to the table and then they can choose seats from there. At my wedding we are actually having "open seating" and people can sit anywhere (we'll see how that goes!!) since we hare having stations and not a sit down dinner. Friends of mine who have been to weddings like this say it's nice because they didn't feel confined to one "spot" and could get up and move around. I would say direct guests to their table, let them chose where to sit from there :)

i might actual bypass the super easel chart factor. this is going to create merely slightly a site visitors congestion. merely get those tented place enjoying cards (bought at any Michael's, even purpose and Walmart have them) and placed the guy or couples call and table kind. It rather must be alphabetized too so human beings can discover their seating without delay. an hassle-free kind on each and each table displayed in a photograph physique will artwork merely high quality. you do not ought to placed everywhere enjoying cards on the table specifying each and each persons seat task. Ten chairs...ten travelers...they might determine it out ;-)

I think i would prefer to just be shown what table to sit at, because you don't want people to play musical chairs and start switching it around during the reception, the focus should be on your and your husband, it's your wedding!!1

Personally, I prefer just a table. However, for my wedding I had to go with assigned seating due to various divorces and family hatreds. We even had to assign three large uncles to act as "bouncers" if it became necessary!

Place cards just look cool, I think it is OK if they are just shown to the table.
