i've checked into daycare and found the prices to be between $75 to $125 per week per child depending one the place and what is provided by caregiver. considering you would supply meals and snacks and are a former preschool teacher that would provide educational stimulation i would pay it.
As a mother of four three ages 8 to 2 i would prefer to have a private sitter then a daycare and would be willing to pay for it.. charge by the week and not hour. this is a source of income for you..

Over the last 15 years or so I have babysat several children in my home and I always have charged a flat fee of 10.00 a day no matter whether they come for all day, half-day, or a couple of hours. It seems to work for me. Hope it helps.

since it is only one kid I would advise starting at a lower price. That way you will attract alot more people!
