the object was created by something , it didnt just appear.

So as humas, we have a Createor, God, that created us, we didn't just appear, and neither did the bacteria and molecules that scientis claim we came from. life is life, life just doesnt happen out of thin air.

we are creations with a spirit. The spirit is was distinguishes us from the all the other "objects" or creatures. A baboon doesn't contemplate the question. Why do we try to explain it? It is obvious to me that the question of our existence is a BUILT-IN question. That is evident to me by all the athiest that hang around this section.=)

Humans are objects in a way, right? Bodies, human or animal or tree or whatever, are objects. Where's TRUE SELF? Is true self the body? Is it the human body? What about animals, where's the true self there? True self is trying to figure it out. A big step would be to know what true self is. What do you think true self is?

People say that religion/god is embedded within us; this is false. What is embedded, is the desire to know and control - religion becomes this manmade order on the unknowable, and manmade order on the unverifyable.

Think about some of the rules we have in our lives, and how illogical some of them are - from beauty to fashion trends, fitness trends, buying things we "want" instead of need - we live in a world of subjective order. Religion is just that on a mass scale - ordering a chaotic yet natural world.

I wouldn't classify humans as "objects", but I guess it's only in one's nature to want to know how they began, where they came from and why they exist. Just talk to a little kid. They're always asking "why?"

Your question implies that we are more than material. That extra something is from God. That spirit is drawn to God, whether a person 'believes' or not. It is a hunger, that serves as a proof to many, that God exists. What desire does a person have, that does not have an appropriate fulfillment? There is none...God is the answer to 'why'.

The old meaning of life question. Ask Mel Brooks, I think he has the answer. Otherwise I'd say no. That is one of the mysteries of the universe.

We want to know how we came to be, hoping that we are some special chosen species created by an ultimate creator. At least, some people have that hope. Others just want to know how we came to be. Personally, I don't really care.

What is existance? Do you really know? How can you define it and by who's defination are you using? What is reallity and is it real? Do you know? Can you define my reality? Are you real? Can you prove it? What if I choise not to accept your proof? Does it make you anyless real?

Don't you think that God really gets tired of prove me questions?

Accept or reject God, your choice, then deal with what happens.

I choise God, I believe Jesus is his son. I accept and I get to deal with the action of my choice.
