10 lbs is possible in a month! start doing cardio, about an hour a day - I like running or Tae Bo, alternating daily with yoga or pilates. and whatever you do, don't stop eating! eat 5 or 6 small meals a day to equal about 1500 calories. plan your meals ahead so you don't cheat when you get hungry. that combined with the cardio should do the trick. good luck!

Follow the diabetic diet--basically what you are doing is eating 3 sensible meals a day, plus three small snacks. It's similar to the portions Weight Watchers gives you (3 oz. of meat at lunch, 4 at supper, 30 carbs at each meal, 2 vegetables at lunch and supper, fruit at breakfast and your 1st 2 snacks, milk at breakfast & afternoon snack, and 15 carbs at night. It sounds like you're eating a lot, but since you're spreading it out, your body will absorb it better, and you won't feel hungry all the time. I lost 40 pounds the first time I used it, but then I slacked off. I started back this weekend, and I've already lost 2 1/2 pounds.

Try the South Beach Diet for quick results. It is difficult the first week or so but if you stick with it you should be ok. I lost 45 lbs in 6 months. I was never hungry and have kept the weight off for 2 years. My other suggestion is try Weight Watchers I have two friends who have lost alot of weight . Step up your exercise. Be careful, you are still young . Don't lose too quickly. Good Luck

There is no easy answer. The most obvious would be to exercise and diet. You will lose 10-15 Lbs in a month. Heavy weights = bigger muscles and muscle weighs more than fat. So, you need cardio, light weights, 5 small meals a day and your metabolism will be a calorie burning machine by your deadline.

You got some awesome answers here....I wanted to add that I agree with the "don't diet" answer. I've dieted on and off since I was 25 when my metabolism took a vacation...they don't work in the long run. So, recently I found an exercise I can do daily, that I really love, biking (and when it's nasty out, I do the treadmill inside), and I've just cut my portions...I haven't cut out a lot, because when you cut out stuff you love, you have a tendency to want to gorge yourself on it at some point. But, as I've cut my portions, I now get fuller faster. I do eat wheat instead of white bread, brown rice instead of white, and I drink a lot of water. I still drink coffee when I want (which I've also cut down on), but I stick with water all day. Also, using weights while doing cardio is good, b/c as you build muscle, the muscle helps your metabolism burn fat while you are resting as well...maybe some hand weights while running or ankle weights. Push ups are good, as someone else pointed out- as well as crunches. Good luck!!! What's good is this can be a lifetime change, and I have days (like now w/ my period- sorry guys- where I want certain foods, and I don't deny myself them, I just don't overdue it)!

You're going to be walking about 4 miles a day, and eating like a bird to drop that kind of weight, don't over-do if you start feeling dizzy...count calories and steps taken...10 LB is easy, though, divide 10 by 30=1/3 lb. per day. Diet and exercise, stay way from magic diets, though...

Go off sugar and eat wheat bread instead of white. Don't eat chips or other junk food but don't starve yourself either cause that won't work! You could also do twenty sit-ups and push-ups if you have the time.
