Have a little decency, Carla. The poor cat was probably hit in the road or something, and you can't just leave it there. Put on rubber gloves, take some plastic trash bags with you and slide the bag under and around the cat, then fasten the bag closed and at least put it in the trash can. Animal control will not pick up dead animals. If the body is lying in the open, you don't really want to deal with dogs or something getting to it, do you?

What can u do? put your hands inside a garbage bag, pick it up and put it in the trash-- that's the easiest thing to do- Or- call animal control so they can remove it------
Seriously, what do u think a dead cat is going to do to you?? If u cant do it then have someone else do it.... You dont have to touch it with your bare hands, wear gloves or use a plastic bag.

See if it has a collar with the name of the owner.
If it doe call them.
If it does not open a plastic garbage bag and pick the cat up with the bag allowing it to fall inside.
Place in garbage can. WASH YOUR HANDS.
Yes this seems wrong but you may not be allowed to burry it in your yard.
Animal control has live animals to deal with why bother them.

1)Look around for any missing cat posters and see if it's like the cat in your yard and see if it says how long it's been missing and remember how long it's been in your yard.(If that doesn't work, put up your own posters saying something along the lines of"FOUND CAT"or something)
2)call Animal Control

ahhhh, poor little baby(cat, not you). call your local animal shelter and report a deceased animal and they will get your address and come and pick him up for you so you don't have to touch him.(he's dead you know, and cannot hurt you) i know it is illegal in someplaces to bury an animal in your back yard. well, at least that poor little kitty is chasing butterfies in heaven now and no longer subjected to the whims of the world, and woosie humans.

It's dead because the grim reaper came or it and you should bury it unless it's not yours, in which case you should call the animal control.
