glanced (took a quick look)

regarded means comtemplated (looked for quite some time)
viewed means observed (again, looked for quite some time)
glimpsed always has an object. She glimpsed a duck out of the corner of her eye. It is a quick look as well, but needs the object)

I would choose GLIMPSED but I would remove the "of." Your preposition "out" does not need it before your article "the."
