This is the 24th question.

Since GOD is a metaphoric representation not unlike Gravity, or Time, or Corporate Law, wouldn't that make this man modern Christians worship a "God before GOD"? An idol is something that people worship as GOD that is in fact not GOD. Statues, trees, the sky, the Sun, Kings, necklaces, an idea, a fictional character...... so many things would qualify fo idolhood, including a man that does not exist that illegedly did all of these wonderful things Christians claim "their GOD" did. If there was in fact a man on GOD's throne, things would be different, but there is no man, or woman, or spirit, or a Humanoid, or even a Sentient being in charge, just a force that is everything they said it was.

Whether the average Christian (or Atheist for that matter) are willing to aknowledge that GOD is not a Humanoid or not such is the case. For me to believe in an all powerful MAN and not the true GOD would be folly. Humanizing GOD makes him no better that Zeus or Odin.

Willamzo is Gay. He apparently wants me. Either that, or he knows I'm right and he's wrong and he hates me for it.

Since GOD is NOT a metaphoric representation like Gravity, etc than all you said is not based on truth. Also if their is no personal God how can anything be an idol? The fact that God revealed Himself in the flesh does not make man all powerful, it still remains in God. Why would it be folly for God to reveal Himself this way? He is God after all.

We who worship the one God know that he created us in his image after he created everything else, what we don't know is what exactly is his image? Its it all the mental parts of being human, or is it parts of the mental and physical. That there are many who see humans as no greater than dogs or horses defines true atheism, so accepting the God of the Bible as the one above all others would be the opposite, right?

When you start with a statement that is not true then build a case based on that falsehood your whole logic is seriously flawed.
