Because some questions challenge their beliefs. The people who are mean are the ones who feel that their beliefs are in jeopardy, and without them, they won't know how to live their lives!

Religous conflict will go on forever. Its because people dont have toleration about this subject. I think anyways that the religion section of this page has had a lot of interesting questions, that have actually made me think, others have been funny and others are just not right. But what can we do about that? People have very different points of view about that, and we cannot change that. Toleration is the key in all of this. Please be tolerant to each other people.

Religion is a sore subject. Most religions teach that there's is the right one and everyone else is a sinner. Among everything else, it causes so much conflict because we're feed all this. If you don't believe what we believe, you're going to hell, and why should I bother with you? That's why I don't agree wiht organized religion. Any of them.

Umm...I can't say as to why people enjoy disrespecting others, but there are questions on religion here because it's the RELIGION & SPIRITUALITY section. I mean, what else would be discussed here?
It WOULD be nice if everyone could be kind to one another, but I don't think that it's genetically coded in all humans to act that way, unfortunately.

Uh, I believe you're seeing a lot of religion questions because you're in the religion section. What are they supposed to discuss in the religion section? Frisbee golf?
It's been said for hundreds of years that the two topics you should never discuss - because it's never a calm, rational discussion - is religion and politics. I guess this site confirms the wisdom in that saying.

Religion defines a large part of our history, our culture, and ourselves....hence all the religious questions. people are mean on this subject because they were never taught how to argue their point rationally and without being rude to others.

Many people down through the ages have DIED in defense of the Gospel, just as have many people died for their country. It's all about what we believe and hold near and dear to our hearts that stirs our emotions and makes us feel alive with a sense of purpose. The Scripture says, "To live is Christ, but to die is GAIN!"

Everyone is born with a body and soul. Until the soul finds rest in God it continually seeks. They are all just seeking. I will pray they find the right answers. There is both good and evil at work at Yahoo answers.

Hmmm - thats a hard one. "Why all the religious question?".. Hmmm.. Got me stumped. I mean, Spiritual and Religious section filled with Questions about religion. Gee - I haven't got a clue why anyone would do that here.

I wish I knew the answer to that one myself. I think everyone could add their own 2 cents without being rude. Good question though.

They are mean because they don't get it. Their fear leads them to attack those in the light. They scream and scream about how rediculous it all is but in reality they want to understand how others have found their way while they are still lost. Sadly they must feel better to bash others.
