Normally, hair doesn't stop growing at a certain length. What happens is that as hair gets longer, it gets older (obviously). And, since hair is dead, it cannot regenerate and is more prone to damage. So what happens is that the ends break off, which keeps the hair short. If you want hair to grow longer, you have to trim the ends regularly and condition your hair very well so as to prevent breakage.

It is true, hair does stop growing at a certain length.
Hair actually goes through two phases, one of growth and one of rest. After a hair has gone through the resting phase, a new hair begins to grow, pushing the old hair out. This means that the length of the growth phase (and the speed of growth) determines the length of the hair.
Scalp hair has a longer growth phase than arm hair, so it grows longer. There is considerable variability in the length of the growth phase between individuals. Some can be as long as five years, some as short as two years. This is why some women can grow hair down to their feet, while others can't seem to get it longer than partway down their back.
Can you imagine what it would be like if arm hair had the same type of growth? You'd have to continually trim it to avoid looking like a Yeti.
Hope this answered your question!

Yes it does. That's why you see some women with hair to their feet and others with hair to the middle of there back for yrs. Every bodies hair has a certain stopping pt. Mine stops in the middle of my back also. The only products that will lengthen are extensions. Stinks doesn't it??

Hair does stop growing at a certain length, usually determined by genetics. It depends on how large the hair follicle is; some follicles can only support short hair, which is why your eyebrows don't cover your eyes. You can strengthen the follicle by eating properly though.
And hair does not grow after you die. The skin around it shrinks, so it only seems longer.

Hair never stops growing naturally. Might want to check your diet or possibly change your shampoo and conditioner. S/C should be changed after each bottle to a different brand and then you can go back to it. Stay away from conditioners that say ammonia (in any form) in the first 5 ingredients.

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://bitly.im/aMJaY While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.

HAIR USUALLY GROWS 1/2 INCH TO 1 INCH PER MONTH IF YOU ARE HEALTHY. SOME PEOPLE DO REPORT THAT THE GROWTH SLOWS DOWN AS IT STARTS GETTING LONGER. SOME PEOPLES HAIR LENGTH ARE DETERMINED BY THEIR GENES.
THE BEST WAY TO GROW OUT YOUR HAIR IS TO EAT A HEALTHY BALANCED DIET, EXERCISE, AND DON'T USE HEAT OR CHEMICALS ON YOUR HAIR.
