Men have been the breadwinners for years. If you can handle having a "house husband", then it's OK. If you can't, then move on.

That depends on what the man is doing in his spare time. If he is the one staying home and raising the kids then the idea of supporting the man financially is perfectly viable.

Women have a lot more power than they used to. I know a lot of couples where the wife makes more money than the husband so naturally, the husband stays at home to raise the kids. There's nothing wrong with that as long as the husband puts aside his ego for the sake of his kids.

I am OK with it. I make more money than he ever could. So he is a stay at home dad. Take care of the kids, take them to their extra curricular activities, clean house, and cooks dinner. I'm OK with it as long as its like that. He has a part time job just so he can have some time away from home. But if he ain't doing nothing productive, then NO way would I support a man.

Depends....My step-mother is the bread-winner in her and my dads relationship, but my father works just as hard, doesnt get paid what she does.

If the man is contributing to the relationship, yes it is ok for the woman to support the man.. But if he just sits on his butt all day then no. I have heard the new trend is that the wife works and the dad stays at home with the kids.

If he wants to be a "house husband", I think that's fine, but he should be doing the laundry, keeping house like you do (not half @ss man cleaning), grocery shopping (for meals not junk food), cooking, going to the dry cleaners. Taking care of the kids (sitting them in front of the TV doesn't count). All the stuff a house wife does and just as good as one. Not sitting on his butt free loading. I think if you are going to have a "house husband" arrangement both of you should be up front with what you expect of the other.

I don't see it as a problem ... but in my house we both work to take care of finances !

Guess it really only matters to the woman taking care of the guy !
