Tell your Mom, and this is true..on Dr. Phil he said a good parent is a parent that lets their children excercise their own judgments and lets them make their own decisions bc a good parent knows they raised them well enough to be confident that everything will be okay......

However, if you are not about 17 than stop complaining, bc i imagine you are living rent free.

If she's a parent who says "my house, my rules" then you are SOL'd . If you are old enough to make your own decisions, then you are old enough to move out. If you don't want her to run your life then you shouldn't be living in something that's hers. Because then she has a right to run your life. Besides, she ain't trying to run your life. But i really can't say because i don't know how she is. But when i thought my parents were trying to run my life they were really trying to protect me and send me on the right path. I moved out because i was like you and you don't even want to know how my life is. Think before you say stuff like that. because oneday you may make the wrong decision and you would have wished you listened to your mom.

Well I'm a mom of 3. And your mom has a reason. Because anything she tells you is for your own good..... In the future you'll need it.

Well, yes, it depends on how old u are. But if ur old enough, but not able, then it's tough, she'll run ur life as long as she's supporting u. But when she stops supporting u, and ur old enough, then u can kindly tell her to back off.

Be thankfull your mom is still alive to "run your life"!!!!! Because I guarantee you no matter how much you dislike it now, you'll wish you had it back when its gone.

Show her how responsible you are. Listen to her point of view, and if you don't agree, calmly discuss why both "sides" have good and bad items.

PS. She might be doing it because her mom ran hers!

If you live under her roof, you have to follow her rules.

If you're an adult living on your own, then you need to have a talk with your mom.
