The difference between them and you and me is they say this is the TRUTH, and you and me keep looking for the truth.
Make sense?
If I knew the truth of everything even if it was no god, wouldn't that be the RELIGION

It surely can. As for Christianity, several times God is referred to as the one who will take care of widows, orphans, and the lonely. Oftentimes people who are entirely alone or sad who are religious will turn to God for solace, and wether you believe or not, a dependence role is filled by religion. It's the same with psychological blocks that cause physical ailments. For instance, when some people go through trauma or get really bad news, they become crippled (often a part of the body associated with the trauma). The part of their body is still functional, but the block is psychological, and often times these people are relieved of their psychological block by faith healers. Now, wether you believe that it's all in their head and it's their dependance on imagined God that set them free or it really is God lifting that block is up to you, but the fact of the matter is it's the faith (or dependance as you put it) of the person that is allowing that block to be undone and for them to function again. Thus, their faith has healed them.

I don't think so (at least for me), and here is why: when I was a child I was completely dependent on my parents, and knew that I didn't need anyone else to care for me. Yet I chose to learn about God and His Son at an extremely early age, and accepted the salvation that Jesus Christ offered to me. I had no need to become dependent on religion; I didn't see it like that, and still don't.

God does, religion maybe. that psychological void is part of the "God sized hole" in the human existence. IF you get God the void gets filled. Some people try to place religion in the hole and it sort of fits but it is still too small.

Religion is basically doing your best with the possible and trust God with the impossible.
It's more spiritual than psychology.

Yes it does, but let me tell u this. Religion is wrong. like for exaple christainity should be your belief. Bein religious means that u're doin things out or habit or rituals. Because somebody's be doin that for yrs and u picked it up. Why would u do that??? If you're gonna die for somethin u need to know what its about, does it makes sense, and why you're really doing it. Some ppl go to church every sunday , take communion, but goes out and does everything else contrary to wat they're religiously doin. So ppl need to stop living their life off of habit, and think a little. HOPES THIS HELPS

It probably does.
For example, recent scientific studies indicated that attending a church regularly can increase one's health and lifespan etc..
However, whether it does or not cannot be used as evidence for or against the veracity of religion in general, IMO.

Matthew 5:3 says : "Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need, since the kingdom of the heavens belongs to them."

No...the need is a spiritual need. We are created by God, and for God and our hearts are restless with a void nothing can fill until we fill it with God. We find our rest and fullfillment in Him.

We are all dependent on God whether we want to admit it or not. God is the one who gave us our life and who keeps our heart beating. Without God we wouldn't even be able to breathe.
