here is the thing. What race do you think Adam and Eve were? And who do you explain the different races. If you don't beleive in evolution then how do you reconcile this?

Creation THROUGH Evolution. Both are correct in their own ways. Believing in one does not exclude the other.

They can. The Fathers of the Church like John Damascene believed in a type of evolution in the 5th century AD called the great chain of being, believing that God created everything that could possibly be created out of the fullness of his love, and that since he lives outside of and beyond time he took a long time to do it--so Christianis can believe in evolution. Evolution is a problem for 2 reasons--some people insists it is proof that God does not exist and everything is made by accident, which does not necessarily follow from the idea of evolution, and evolution is a theory that has been around for 150 years and still has no proof. There is no way natural selection can account for the complexity of the universe or even a single cell, there is no fossil records for transitional forms, no new species has ever been created or fossil record found of one being created. Evolution might be true and could fit into Christianity well enough, but there is not proof for it and it is often used against Christianity. See Ann Coulter's Godless for a nice popular summary of the issue.

I'm christian and I believe in the evolution of animals, its fact. The "man evolving from apes" is not fact though, that's simply theory. Acutally, we humans have evolved through time, every generation gets taller, for one. We get smarter, and the more obvious changes, lighter eye and hair color, which answers your race question. It's been proven thru midocrondrial dna that the first people were black, that the different races came about by moving to colder climates, the hair and eyes lightened, as they didn't need as much pigmentation to protect them from the sun.

Most Christians, including myself believe in micro-evolution but NOT macro-evolution.
Also, science supports micro-evolution (as does the Bible) but science does not support macro-evolution (nor does the Bible).

Races...I am not sure, good question. Maybe it has to do with adaptation, maybe the tower of Babel (Genesis 11). Hmmmm, will have to think more about this.

Good one.

Some do. The Catholic Church pulled itself into the 19th century recently by accepting evolution as a fact. Some liberal Christian sects embrace the obvious fact of evolution.

I know of some Christians that claim the Tower of Babel is where the "races" were formed, though there is no scriptural basis for this conjecture. It wouldn't be the first bit of insertionism used by Christians to justify their sometimes odd beliefs.

You came up with a very good question. My opinion on it, let me correct that what I CHOOSE to believe is that I did not come from a monkey no matter what anyone tells me I refuse to believe it. Call ignorant, call it uneducated you know call what ever the hell you want but that what I stand for. I Believe that God created man and until someone can prove differently that is what I will believe. There are no evidence that we came from monkeys only that it is a theory just as God created man is a theory it is to each es own.
Why we come in different shapes sizes and color well I believe had to make us different and equipped to deal with the climate from where we live.

Yes, I believe in evolution. One way to think about it would be Adam and Eve were the first humans to have been bestowed a spirit by God (breathed life into them). After which they breed with other homosapiens that had not yet received a spirit, etc.

I believe Humans did come from lesser organisms.

The genes for all races is in most any human. Color of skin and features is a matter of adaptation. Some Christians with a weak faith and zero understanding of science may believe in evolution. Most Christians believe in creation. We can isolate and breed out many features, or strengthen them. Look at very isolated peoples and they all seem to look very much alike.

The awesome thing about God and Jesus is how powerful they are. GO to Genesis in the bible and see the account of how God made heaven and earth . Keep reading and the account goes on to tell how the first man was made and then woman. My GOD is Awesome and He is my CREATER.... Evolution never happened.. How could we be made so perfectly and evolved from whatever.??? No, we are created by God and Jesus. Thank YOU GOD............... Oh, to answer about the different races the bible explains that in Genesis 11:9. It is all there...Thanks for the great question....

depends on the person. I am Christian and believe in MICRO evolution, because we do evolve but not macro evolution because thats crap and it goes against what God says.

First you need to specify Christians, there are many branches: Catholics are Christians, Anglicans too, all religions that believe in Jesus Christ to be the son of God are Christians.
To some christians it is difficoult for them to believe in evolution because they feel the Bible is the only source of religious knowledge and they take the biblical text literally. Most of us Christians believe both in God and in evolution, prsoanally I believe evolutions is one of the many mechanisms of God's creation
