As owner of a day children's nursery you will be required to register with OFSTED.

This registration should be displayed together with the current certificate of insurance.

Plus 50% of staff employed must hold a relevant childcare NVQ level 2 or equivalent certificate.

One member of staff must hold First Aid certificate.

All supervisors must have NVQ level 3 in childcare.

I closed my in-home childcare after 5 years to return to college. (I recently graduated with a Bachelors in Education.) The process is fairly easy. The biggest question however, is where do you live. This will determine the rules for your childcare. If located in the US, contact your local Department of children services. Some states call it DSHS, others DSS, etc. Also look in your phone book for a community organization called "Childcare Resouce and Referral". This organization will help with becoming certified and obtaining clients.

Check out the Washington state DSHS site for an outline: http://www1.dshs.wa.gov/esa/dccel/new_licensing_page.shtml

In the state of Texas there is a law concerning how many children you can "babysit" at you own home. If you open a nursery, then you have to have a certain amount of workers per group of children. You also need to be certified by the board of health, and have regular inspections. You will need to check with the laws in your state to find out what special criteria needs to be met.

It relies upon on the position you stay and what they require for licensing. In maximum states you could function a relations day look after as a lot as 6 little ones if there is in uncomplicated phrases one adult contemporary. you could strengthen a curriculum and any style of software you want. The ratio will be decrease in case you're taking children. some instructions in baby progression will be efficient. your position would favor to be inspected for protection and also you would favor to have a history verify.

Accountancy could be a help but if i were you id employ an accountant then you will know all tax`s, insurances etc.... are paid when needed.

It will depend on your state of residence and whether you want to be able to accept payments for children from DHS, Tribes , and other organizations.

Start with your local DHS for specific information in your area.
