I am 29 years old and i have been water skiing since i was five years old. I never tried to get up on one ski before. Ihave always kicked one off and have done well, but getting up i always seem to lose it! can anyone help.

First thing is to always keep your knee bent. The leg that is in the ski, remains bent but rigid. The leg that you are dragging behind...bent and flexible as it will really just be dragging. A little lean on the leg in the ski, and no hurry to get the free leg in the ski should result in you being a one skiing machine. Most problems come from trying to get into the ski with the free leg too quick, off-balance, or legs not bent. Let the boat drag u the slightest bit before you have them "hit it". When u have your balance (usually about 3-6 feet being dragged), then go for it.
