was also expired. I received tickets for both totalling over 600 dollars, I havn't paid them nor have I entered a plea, can I be arrested and put in jail for this? btw I live in Quebec, Canada.

Yes. even if pulled over for another infraction, cops can take you in. Best bet - call the court and apologize for forgetting to handle your tickets, then beg for a court date to take care of it. If youve gotten your registration taken care of, they might dismiss this violation and lower your fine. You can also plead your case and tell them you cant affford $600...they will lower it or break it into payments for you...

Yes, you can be arrested if a bench warrant has been issued. They can hunt you down or arrest you at any time, any where. There is no statute of limitations on a warrant. Take care of business before you need an attorney; it will save you money in the long run.

I think if you dont pay them after a while i think there can be a warrant out for your arrest.....thats all i know for the us...i have no clue what canada does
