Should those advocating absteinance be banned from complaining about pornography, strippers, exotic dancers, sex toys like didos and vibrators etc. As surely thats why you tell someone to abstain as you want them intro that and not sexaul relationships with real people instead.

If nobody had to abstain from early teeange onwards and had a good sex life then there would be little need for the above.

You can't expect to repress people and expect them to have no release for the frustration...

What do you think the abstaining would do? play tiddlyinks?

I agree that our society's unhealthy repression of our natural God given sexuality is the root of many of society's problems.

If we were not taught from the earliest of ages that our bodies and its functions are dirty, shameful and sinful, and something to be hidden and never spoken of, and we were encouraged to embrace our sexuality in a healthy way, there would be almost no such thing as rape or child molestation. Sex would be something wonderful that happens between consenting adults (or those mature enough to make those decisions on their own, without coersion).

Ok those things in my opinion, and in all truth exactly wasn't invented for those ppl promoting abstaince. Abstaining for sex is a way of staying pure for your marriage partner. sex was mainly intended for pro-creation. and some for enjoment. those toys were created for ppl who get bored with themselves, partners, because ppl can't get enough their greedy , and the flesh is never satisfied. But that's another story. If that was the case Beastiality was created for the same reason, it aint' ppl, and trust me if u've never had it u cant miss, if sex was really releasing your real frustrations u wouldn't have to keep doin it . It's a sexual frustration and it'll always be void if u you're goin about sex the wrong way. Have sex wit too many ppl, then u're a pimp,or whore, Those two are very unclean things, so u think about it. ( They're disease carriers too)Another thing, everyone doesnt releases sexually b/c over 80% of females don't even have an orgasm!!! Did u knw that??? That causes more frustration dont u think???And u say it's suppose to cure frustration..... But sex is healthy and Good for u if u're goin into it the right way. (Sorry So Long)

t way.

Sorry so long

Haha, that ludicrous. That’s like saying that a man cannot advocate pro-life because he doesn’t know what its like to carry a baby.

And yes, people who are celibate and abstain from sex can abstain from sexual thought or ‘outlet’. There is no biological requirement that one releases sexually, although the drive is strong. The problem is people who improperly view or use ‘celibacy’. Its not the repression of sexual desires; in fact its liberation. I can’t really elaborate on it but Pope John Paul II wrote a series of essays called Theology of the Body which explains it quite well. The former Pope himself admitted that sexuality was the primary motivating factor in humans. But it needn’t be abused as most think.

A good question!
I think though your wording was wrong,
people should be able to say what they want, but religious organizations should be banned from trying to impose their values on others. I accept that they can believe what they want and even preach what they believe, but it is disgusting the evil excess some religions go to to impose their will on others.
The Catholic Church is a particularly evil one and has coursed the most deaths of any organization in existence today, this fact should be communicated more often. Islam can also be very evil as we have all seen. I believe these organizations should be thought and exposed as the evil hypocrites they are constantly, especially when they involve themselves in political matters as the Catholics church is doing now in Europe.

Sadly, yes, they do expect people to play tiddlywinks. They live in a dream world where they think that by not thinking about sex or having any sort of sex that it makes them more holy. Since they want everyone to be like them, they expect everyone else not to have sex. (Unless it is to make more babies that they can brainwash.)
All religious nuts should be given a porno, a tube of KY and a vibrator. Maybe that would help.

Most people who abstain do so for spiritual reasons. I think if you have a good relationship with God ( or whatever your spiritual leanings are) abstinance is a lot easier and less frustrating.

No, abstenance is all about controlling yourself, people who use all the dildos and vibrators don't use them because they want to - they use them because they can't get laid!
I have a friend who signed this sort of contract for the Salvation Army to say he won't have sex before marriage, or masterbate, or look at porno's... I have to admit he regrets it now!

No one should be banned from complaining; it is one of the integral parts of our society that keeps us free.

However, right wing religious types, who are often the ones advocating abstinence, need to respect MY desire to view porn and masturbate to my hearts content. I accept them for what they are and I not pressuring them to go out and have sex, so what gives them the right to judge me and take away what I enjoy?
