While sign language is found in almost every country with deaf people, there is no universal form. That is why there is American Sign Language (ASL), Swedish Sign Language, Mexican Sign Language, Canadian Sign Language, French Sign Language, etc. The language is constantly changing and evolving, therefore it is different for each country.
There is an International Sign Language that is used primarily for large meetings of Deaf people from across the world. However, there are no native speakers and it is not really used at any other time. Not that many people know it either.

Sign language varies from country to country. American Sign language is different from UK Sign language. It is actually based on French.

It is not universal.
American Sign Languge is different in English and in Frenc. Speakers in the bilingual city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada often master both versions, with all the extra work it entails.
There are differences in the American Sign Language signed in the U.S. and in England for example.

Each country has it's own form of sign language the same way they have their own spoken language.
Some signs (very few) are universal and no, not the one using your longest finger.
Signs are different between regions within the US and between generations. Just as spoken language is different. My generation used different slang than the slang today's young adults use.

Depends on what kind. There's legitimate, then there's what conspirators use. Which of course no one ever talks about. The pity is, they're instructing children in this type of filth.
