I'm not asking when I will be ok to date. Read the question again.

When would YOU date a divorced woman? ie: the day she broke up, 2 months...

Greta:

It depends on the woman, and where she is at with the issue.

Some women seem to make the decision and then go on with their life. Others want to hang on to all the hate, guilt, etc. and try to bring closure through a new relationship.

I've dated both kinds in my life and have learned to RUN from the baggage carriers. The other kind makes for a good date because they generally have a better idea of what kind of man they are looking for and are pretty open in a relationship.

Just my opinion, but when a guy meets a woman and they start dating, technically he doesn't know at that time that she would be divorced and/or separated. So you have a few dates already until that information is shared.

Now speaking for myself, I don't consider the length of time they split up per se, it is more the "finality" of it. Guys would tend to be more "paranoid" (for lack of a better word), that the woman's ex- would cause problems for them or add complications to their lives.

So overall, I would be wary until it became apparent that the ex-boyfriend/spouse wasn't in the picture at all.

There are pros and cons in both cases.

Some guys dont mind being the next guy when the woman is on the rebound. Guys understand that they are needed just for sex.

Guys that want a relationship need to find a woman that has been seperated for at least a year.

It all depends on what your needs are.

I have no problem with it it's a part of life. How long depends on certain actions and mannerisms on her part in relation to me and her ex.

It takes at least a year to start to let go of the bitterness, and feel like yourself again.
