A Puggle is a crossbreed between two breeds of dogs, a Pug and a Beagle.
Here's a picture: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Puggle1.jpg
Puggles tend to be about 20-30 pounds, and 13-15 inches at the withers. While colors vary, and there are completely black as well as multicolored Puggles, the vast majority are fawn colored with wrinkled black masks (similar to Pugs), but with the longer body, slightly increased size, and longer nose and floppy ears associated with Beagles. Because Puggles are a crossbreed, the appearance of the breed is less predictable than that of a purebred dog, since there is a decreased ability to predict which attributes will be inherited from which parent.

The idea that some people have that if you cross two breeds, the resulting dog will be the best of both is totally incorrect!!!!!!!!! You could get good qualities, you will get some bad!!!!!
Beagles are prone to certain genetic problems, and so are Pugs. A cross between the two give you a good chance at getting potential problems from BOTH breeds!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, behavior issues common to both breeds are possible. They can and some DO run like a Beagle!!!!!!!! Some still have the breathing problems of the Pug!!!!!! Any "breeder" that tells you they are healthier, more trainable, and less shedding than the two breeds they are from is clueless or totally lying!!!!!!!!! I have seen many of these "Puggles" and they end up in many different sizes, colors, and coat types!!!!!! They are not a breed so they do not breed "true". That means you can get many different looking puppies in a litter, and they can all look different as adults.
If you like a certain breed, stick with that. If you want a cross, make sure you can live with the good AND bad points of each breed, because you have a good chance at either!!!!!!!
It is true you will not find a "good" breeder. No real Pug or Beagle would let their breeding stock become part of a mutt breeding. It is a opportunity to make money for many of these people.

It is a pug, mixed with a beagle. It generally is smaller in size (like an average pug). It often has the size and colorings of a pug and the shape of a beagle. They have become very popular lately. The only thing is, this particular mix has not been a "breed" long enough for us to know a lot of information about them (ie: possible health problems, etc. - some breeds have issues with certain things) Another popular mix is the Labradoodle, which I know is an okay dog for people who are allergic to dogs (maybe the puggle is too!)

Puggle
(Pug / Beagle cross)
The Puggle is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Beagle and the Pug. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. This hybrid cross is recognized by the American Canine Hybrid Club. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses.

Puggles are very cute dogs. cross between a pug and a beagle. If you go through a respectable breeder i would highly recommend getting one. They have very low health risks and are just plain adorable. Be careful though.....inbreeding is common in "mixed" breeds. People tend to charge an arm and a leg for them too. So make sure you do your homework if you are planning on taking in one of these dogs. Good luck!

Due to longer legs, more room in the skull for the eyes, and less effusive wrinkles, Puggles in general avoid many difficulties with eyes, joints, and skin wrinkles.

Well it's a pug/beagle cross. It makes a very cute mix..both are great dogs..good with children.Very active and playful. The long nose of the beagle eliminates a lot of the breathing problems pugs can have.
