Get a moving box, throw all the clothes and papers, cds and dvds in it that you haven't touched in a year. Throw the box in the closet.

If you know what is in your room or even if you are not for sure, make a list of things that you want to keep if you have it & things that you don't need to keep. It's obvious if you have two of everything then that is a start by getting rid of everything you have two of. After finishing your list, you will need to look around your room to figure out what you need in your room to hold the things that you need to keep. Sometimes you want to keep things but that doesn't mean that you need to keep it. Does that make sense to you? When you are finished with both list, take a look at your calendar and set a date for room cleaning. I wouldn't suggest doing it the same day as the list or even the next day. Give yourself at least a week before you start cleaning. But don't go out & buy anything new until you have cleaned your room because you may already have it. When you have your date set, get up early and have a good breakfast so you can feel full & refreshed from a good nights sleep. Turn your cell phone off, put headphones on & listen to your favorite music and start cleaning. You will get done faster than you think.

Yo, get a box, a nice size box and take everything, like all the junk you have laying around and put it in the box... then take the box and put it down somwhere, you're room should be kind of clean now.. and the floor should be clean too, now dust the place up and vacuum, make the bed.
Then get a giant trash bag and start organizing any drawers or papers you have, throw away what you don't need... clean under your bed, make sure the boogey man isn't there, then clean your closet, make sure all your clothes are net and folded and hanging and pants/skirts on the left shirts/dresses on the right. then go through that box and then do the same thing, throw away what you don't need.
That should take about 3 hours. I hope i helped.

It is always best to start with one thing...like your desk. Get one or two binders and sort your papers into binders so they arent all over the place. Slowly move around to different sections of your room, and you will get it done. It will feel like forever but by going slowly and organizing as you go you will be able to keep it clean more easily in the future. It is okay to take breaks but resist the urge to turn on the TV. Put your radio on while you are cleaning and you wont get bored as much
You also might want to consider shelving...you know, for all of your stuff. In my friends room we put up a shelf that went along the tops of all of her walls all around the room because she had a lot of knicknacks that were just getting stepped on, this way she could display all her junk and keep it off the floor.
Once your room is a bit cleaner, go through your clothes and bedding etc. and sort through what doesnt fit and what you don't wear, and donate it. Someone will appreciate those clothes and you will have space to breathe!!!

First, turn off the TV. Set a time limit to work on it... an hour for example, then...
Pile everything in a corner and just start sorting and putting away. Set a couple of boxes outside the door and put everything to get rid of in them as you go. If you don't finish in a day, cover the pile with an attractive blanket and start on it again the next day until you have finished. Might be surprised how fast it will go once you have some floor space to work in!
Try to make it fun! It makes the task go faster.

Get like four or five large boxes and two or three plastic bins. Mentally pick a corner of your room to start cleaning up. Put in the boxes all the things you don't want/need and in the bins things you want but don't know where to store them. Set goals for your self to complete each day (one day can be cleaning the dresser and everything on it, the next could be cleaning under your bed). As you fill each box, put it in your car to drop off at the goodwill. As you fill each bin, stack them in a corner. After you clean out your room of things you don't want, you can start to take out the things from each plastic bin. Make sure to leave some space in your closet for a bin or two of keepsakes that you don't want to get rid of but really don't have the room or desk space to keep out. This process will probably take a few days but if you get tired, at least you have everything contained and the room won't look such a mess. I also find, if I am being particularly lazy at any given time, I'll throw a pile of stuff to be organized/gone through on my bed. This way i can leave it for the time being, but before I go to bed, I will have no choice but to sort it.

Here's what I do.
First, sort the items into categories. Books with books, clothes with clothes, paper with paper. Put them into individual piles, and have a pile for the extras, too.
When you did this until your room looks quite empty, start sorting through your piles. Try to do one pile per day. Throw away the things you don't want, store the things you want in drawers (If you don't have enough drawers, I suggest that you buy some shelves). Store paper in folders and label them.
Having a clean room requires that you keep it clean. Everyday, after you used something, don't just let it lay there, put it back where you belong. Do this for a few months, and it would be a habit.

there is no especially easy way. Just pick a spot on th edge or in the middle and get goin. Get plenty of trash bags and make a trash area. Throw away everything you do not need that someone else cannot use. Make a pile to give away, like old clothes that you can donate to charity. Make piles for different things to organize. Once everything is in it's pile you can put it where it should go or throw it away. Use storage bins and label them. Stay organized b/c organization is key. Slowly but surely it will all come together.

Start from whatever you think is the hardest to do, then don't quit till you're not done. When you're done with the hardest, you'll be pleased with yourself and get the inspiration to the rest.
You don't have to do everything in one day. Take a few tasks at a time.
From now on, don't create a mess in the first place so you won't have to clean up. Keep things in their proper places and do a little vaccuming, washing, etc regularly so the work doesn't pile up and become a huge mountain.
Best of luck!

It always gets messier before it gets clean. Start by making three piles Keep/Sell/Garbage. To purge, you can't be sentimental. The stuff you keep put back into your room. Sell pile have a garage sale or box up for charity. Garbage take it right out to the trash. Start on one side and just keep plowing through. You can do it.

Well okay let's see, I am the same way. If you like music, turn the tv off, and turn some music on, get yourself pumped up and motivated, get something that keeps you awake. To start, get a garbage bag and just start throwing your trash away, believe it or not, just throwing stuff away that is trash and stuff you know you don't want will put a big gap in the way your room looks and seeing progress will make you feel like you are getting somewhere, so you won't be frustrated and then you won't get bored, you will be more motivated to finish the job. Good Luck!!
