Don't be miserable, don't let yourself down. You know you've reached this goal before, it may just take some more motivation and assistance to get back on it again. Definitely don't start out the day with ice cream and chips. That's just gonna make you more hungry for junk food as the day goes on. I'd say see a personal trainer or weight loss instructor pronto, maybe at your local gym? They can probably help make you a menu for what you should be eating and a schedule for exactly how you should be exercising. If you throw out all that junky food, then there's no option of eating it! Try and replace it with healthier options. And then when you wake up in the morning, you can start your menu off right by eating a healthy bowl of Cheerios or some toast or, you know, something healthy. I know how hard it can be to resist the junk food and make yourself choose the healthy option. But you already know what your goal is, and that's a GREAT first step: being aware of your specific goal. And another great thing is that you KNOW you can do it! Why? Because you've done it already! So all you need is to put the rest of the steps into place that I listed above.
Ps: I agree with the first answer too, that running is a great (probably THE BEST) way to get in shape.

It's all going to be mind over matter. You have to get rid of the junk food and eat a well balanced diet. Stop trying pill or fads because they don't last and when you gain the weight back it is usually more than you lost. To speed up your metabolism try eating six small meals a day while getting at least 30 minutes of exercise.

Just try hard to eat good, healthy food. Don't buy chips and ice cream, buy lowfat yogurt or fresh fruit & veggies. And keep your portions reasonable. Eat slowly and only until you're full. And excercise. Walking for half an hour three days a week can make a big difference if you combine it with healthy eating habits.
Good luck!

Well most people don't know this but, when you're trying to lose weight, eating healthy does 70% of the loss, being active is only 30%. So as long as you have a steady workout, and a healthy diet, then there should be no problems.

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:

*1) Burn more calories then your consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity. Get a fitness calculator that you can put on your cell phone and computer. This will allow you to easily calculate this formula, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.

*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.

Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as white potatoes) and drink lots of water.

Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Here is an excellent food pyramid that anyone can follow: http://www.rayandterry.com/html/images/PyramidLRG.gif?osCsid=26a424be471d1337e7c2f105d5c64d9d

*3) Exercise on most days by doing cardiovascular training and/or resistance training activities.

Read a book or find a certified trainer to make sure your doing all resistance training exercises correctly. A great book to buy that teaches you the resistance training basics is “Weight Training for Dummies”. A superb magazine to buy with excellent resistance training routines that will not get you bored is "Muscle and Fitness". Signup for the free newsletter.

A good book to buy that teaches you the cardiovascular training basics is “Fitness for Dummies”.

*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.

*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A superb book to read is “You The Owner’s Manual”. An excellent periodic publication is the “Nutrition Action Health Letter”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com

Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. healthy diet...you'll get to LOVE healthy foods once you get into the routine of eating them. you just have to make yourself stop eating crap...don't buy it. it's hard at first, but with a little resolve and knowing that you'll look and feel much better, you will do it!
no soda
lots of water
exercise (cardio and toning)

stop buying the crappy food, and buy only good food. Go to the grocery store with a list, and stick to it. walk at least a mile every day. and go see your doctor, he will be able to give you better help than you can get on here.
