My neighbors throw there trash over in our yard every day.They have knocked windows out of one of our houses with a rock.The law has been called twice and they will not do anything about it.These people think they can get away with everything.They need to be locked up in a padded room.He is so crazy he comes out in his yard shooting guns in all directions.What can be done about it.

This is an extremely upsetting and difficult situation for you I am sure but its even more so by the fact the police do nothing....geez they are supposed to be there for you.....one thing you might want to consider is to set up a hidden camera on your property so that you will have physical evidence of their trashing your yard and your neighbors other weird behavior....have they ever threatened you or your family? if so consider a restraining order. also, understand this if the police are called and do nothing if something does happen then the police department and county are liable for any injuries or damage....get your physical evidence, make copies and then send a letter outlining what has been happening and that the police are ignoring the situation to your local commissioner. also keep detail records of what happens and when you call the police, write down the time and date and who you talk too. no county in its right mind wants a lawsuit because of the ineptness of its law enforcement. you pay taxes and are a law abiding citizen and it is their duty to protect you. don't give up these neighbors of yours sound not only weird but possilby dangerous. be careful and stay vigilant

I can't believe that law enforcement won't do anything about this situation. I'd go directly to the administrator of the law enforcement agency that has been to your residence and find out what the deal is. In NY, your neighbor COULD be arrested for Criminal Mischief and Firing a Weapon within 500 ft. of a Residence. The least they could be arrested for is littering.
You may want to start keeping some sort of record log of the things this person is doing. If you have a video camera, that might be even better.

I would set up some kind of surveillance camera hooked to a recorder. Unless you live way out in the country i am sure discharging firearms within the city limits is against the law, breaking your windows is vandalism, get everything on tape, if the police won't do anything get in contact with the district attorney and make a complaint. hope this helps.

Depending on what state you are living in. You may want to install a camera that is focused solely on your property (if fenceline happens to show a hairline of other side,...you can in some cases explain it was not intented to film other property)to capture any culprit who is destoying/defacing, ect... your property. But! Check out laws for your area on video surveillance first. Then take the Perp to court! Avoid remarks such as crazy,stupid, ect... Keep a calm (with undertones held to a min) demure. Then,... hold PD responsible, by getting their attention by publishing your ordeal in a local online paper,or if you can get paper to publish it in ink. Either way stay away from name calling,or characture expressions!

If you are renting, just move and find somewhere else to live. Or you could try this:
Video tape them doing whatever it is that annoys you and then call the police, if he's shooting his guns all about, then that is illegal, those bullets could stray and kill someone! Keep calling the police eventually something will be done. Good luck :-)

I would move if you can but I would also start writing down everything that occurs and I would take pictures. This will help you have proof for the police and help in court if it goes that far.

WHY DON' T YOU GO TO YOUR LOCAL CITY HALL AND FIND OUT THE PROCEDURE FOR A PETITION,HAVE ALL THE THE OTHER NEIGHBORS SIGN IT.BRING ALONG YOUR POLICE REPORTS SO YOU CAN SHOW THEM EXACTLY WHY YOU WANT THEM OUT....I DONT KNOW WHAT STATE YOU LIVE IN BUT IT IS ILEGAL TO DISCHARGE A FIRE ARM IN A RESEDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD...GOOD LUCK

don't feel bad my neighbors are wacko too they call me 10 times a day and if someone comes over they call and ask who it was with them still there and they are so nosy
