If you want to then go for it..as I have said before...age doesn't matter...it's what's on the inside that counts.

you should totally go for it!!!

I'm 16 also and my boyfriend is 2 years older than me! We're in love and we've been going out for over a year now! He's the best boyfriend I've ever had and what you're going through now, I also went through. I thought about him a lot. The best thing I ever did was give it a chance.

Jut be careful though, I'm assuming that because he's about 19 that he's going to college; if he's going to college near you then that's great! but if he's going a bit farther away, make sure you can deal with the long distance! (my bf and I go to school 500 miles apart, but it works so you should be fine!)

I have a similar situation! It's actually not that abnormal. Well, it's different for teens because there's the whole legal issue and there are so many rules about like statuatory rape and what not. But a lot of parents are several years apart; from an adult relationship point of view, 3 years probably isn't that bad at all. Go for it.

I would advise waiting until you are 18. Think about this. He is most likely a college student. Why would a college guy be interested in a high school student? Usually just for sex. If he is really as interested in you as you are in him then he will have no problem being your good friend until you are 18. After all, the best relationships stem from the best friendships.

my thing with that is that age is just a number so if thats what you want and what makes you happy then you should go for it..but first because of your ages i think you should both sit down and talk with your parents about it..thats if the guy feels the same as you..just because he flirts doesnt mean he wants to go out with you

You can date him, but don't give in to any sexual pressures, I agree w/Brookecapulet in re: to using u for sex...ur 16, don't worry, u'll have plenty of guys to think about, especially if this guy is already flirting w/u (it's obvious he thinks ur cute, so will other guys)..

What does mom say? Can you date someone that is out of school? If she doesn't have a problem with it and he is a nice guy who will respect you then if he asks you go out with him.
