That's basically the way I believe. But, instead of just a higher-power, I say advanced alien scientists seeded our earth and helped jump start our personal evolution. Because, even if you do believe in "God" or another higher-power, you still have to admit that whoever they were, or are, they are not from this planet.

Yeah, it would make perfect sense for you. One doesn't have to be bound to any books or rules to be spiritual and believe in a "higher power". My belief is that there are many paths but just one finish line; I think G-d or the "higher power" let all these religions be created so it can fit in with the cultures of the area and also because people have so many different personalities. Plus it would be kinda boring to have everyone believe the same thing. My mom and my husband don't follow any certain religion, they know that there is a higher being and they are spiritual and they create their own ideas on life's answers. I mean, you never know, they could be right??

I'm agnostic, but Darwinism and Christianity can coexist. You can believe that God created the universe but many catholics regard Genesis as figurative poetry to explain creation, and not to be taken literally. Darwin explains how some species branch out and evolve or become extinct, but not the creation of the universe as a whole.

i beleive the bible was for our benefit and without it no religion would really work.of course people would love to be in a religion that had no rules to live by,but where would we be without these rules, the world would be in worse shape than it is now.i say just do what your doing now living by your own rules why start another false religion we have enough of those.

Do w/e you want. No one can stop you. But just remember, if you're not following God, you're following the devil. You can only have one master. And believe me, you have a master, whether you realize it or not.
Choose which one you want to follow.
I hope this answers your question.
As for starting your own religion, I don't think you'll get very far w/ it...

This sounds like a do-whatever-you-want religion. Or an Immanuel Kant rant. But either way it is illogical, and untestable in real life.

There are many people who share your belief. The problem is if you want to make it a religion there would be a book (may not be physical) associated to it stating your motto! If you don't want that - do what ever you please - just don't worry about forming a new religion.

It makes sense to me. That's how religion was made in the first place, by the human mind.

Isnt that agnostic? There could be one, there could not be one, but I dont know, so I cant say. Maybe not though, if you believe "higher power", that really isnt agnostic. Guess I answered my own question.
But go for it if you want to!
