Its not about you and even though he still may not want to be bothered, you owe it to your daughter to at least "try". Perhaps the assshole is mature now and see that like it or not he has a child in this world who wants and possibly needs him in her life.

If he hasnt attempted to get with her, he doesnt deserve to meet her. Tell her that he didnt want any part of her and she means the world to you. I am 34 and havent seen my father since i was 4. He was more interested in playing than being my dad. My mom has tred real hard in the last couple of years to get us together, but I have no desire. He doesnt deserve to be a part of my life nor my kids lives.

Contact her father and ask him. His not a good father but if she wants to meet him try your best.

I would definitely spend some time with him to make sure he hasn't changed too much and is still a decent guy. As long as he's not completely bad it should help your daughter to atleast know who he is.

i think u should contact her father because if she wants to know why not show it? it'll probably be the best birthday present she'll have but if her dad tries to hurt her or something i would say no

contact him. if she really wants to find out let her find out. it is not right to keep the truth away. i know how she feels. i have never met my biological dad either and i wish to meet him and my older siblings. so yes contact him. and let her see the truth.

Let her meet him!Even if he doesn't want anything to do with her she need to know that and its better sooner than later. You don't want her to blame you for holding her back on this. Prepare her and let her know that he didn't want anything to do with her then and he might not now.so sad, good luck!
