funny thing is.......anything eaten when expired can possibly kill you, not just pancake mix......everything gets moldy if not used. there are very poisonous molds that grow on some foods.

If there are mold spores present and one is allergic to mold it can kill you. Not all old pancake mix will kill someone, but as the saying goes, if in doubt - throw it out. It was reported that the pancakes taste funny, like rubbing alcohol.

I think it's only deadly if you have an allergy to molds. I believe the molds in expired pancake mix are Penicillium, Fusarium, Mucor, and Aspergillus.

if you have some pancake mix that's 2 years oldand was stored in a cardboard box in a moist environment which becomes moldy and you actually cook it and you're allergic to the mold

In an open box, mold can grow in the mix. If you use mix with mold in it, certain people can have allergic reactions, go into anaphylaxic shock and die.

its expired so the flour , the eggs ,the milk all come ucky , then if u eat that ur stomach hurts a lot n u die
