My daughter is 7 and it was my understanding I don't need to take her back for a check up for quite some time. Is this correct?

After the age of 2, the Dr. recommends a check up once a year. You should also take her into the Dr. if she gets ill.

it is recommended that a child see a doctor for a check up at
6 years
8 years
10 years
11 years
and between 12 & 17 years
shots are needed between 11 & 12 years

As long as your 7 yr.old is healthy then a once a year check up is enough.

We take our kids in once a year for a well child check. Obviously we take them if they are sick.
