The word 'heaven' can be used in various ways.
We speak of the starry heavens ....basically out there in the universe.
I'll assume you mean the place where God resides.
Nobody knows where that is.
One thing for sure: we don't go there.
Heaven is not for us.

Heaven is simply an alternate spiritual dimension, not far removed from our own. Some theorize that the spiritual dimension runs parallel to our own, and is about 3 feet higher than our physical dimension. We can't see it because it vibrates at a far faster rate than does ours. They can only see ours if they slow their vibration down, which supposedly is a very tiresome process. To them, we are the ghosts.

You can get to the spiritual dimension through deep meditation. It will not happen just by trying. In fact, the more you try, the less likely it will be to happen. It can only happen by letting go. Clearing your mind and being in the here and now. By opening yourself to the possibility of communication with God. With some faith.

The other way to get there is by the death of this physical incarnation. But if you commit suicide, nope, sorry. You just get to start your life all over again. You can't get out it that easily.

Well your friend may find confusion here, with the many opinions. But, Heaven is out there somewhere. Where, is debatable. Maybe it all around us, like a Spiritual World, or, in another Dimension, but, I believe it is there regardless of where. I believe the way to Heaven is through Christ Jesus.

For many departure and progression is a necesity to enter midterm, some will call this stage heaven or astral. Now if delusions are avoided rather call those lands low astral and first lokas: planes of stature. Evolution explains these concepts as sorrow of mistakes and commitment of responsability and sex. Through lifetimes couples and families share knowledge and joy in commitment of life and growth, as to carry later bigger seeds of destruction and construction. Upon levels of midterm and godliness there is but sanctuary of peace and accomplishment for true men and women who credit on other places to those they came from. Effort and love shall open doors and allow the blind and accountant see further. No concepts are needed to enter this place, it is provided the adventurer is a person and conceals not gender. Think of love and company, to some levels are to be accepted. Show love and doors shall open, need not surrender or commit to grasp sudden sorrow and happy emotion. That is whisper, others will still call it heaven.

Where is heaven? Where we (humanity) can not get to it. It is the place where God has His government. How do we get there? Believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, that He became a human, lived a sinless life, died our sacrifice, was raised for our justification, live by Gods law, share our blessings with others less fortunate then ourselves, have a broken and contrite hart over our sins (repent) and stop doing them, get baptized (it means 'to plunge under water'), and live as did Christ. Easy! (the hard part is surrendering our will to God, but once you do that the rest is RELAY easy).

Heaven is in the love and personal relationship with God. You felt a bit of it whenever you think of someone you love or hold your pet. You get there by loving God back and doing what is best for you and the relationship. Read the Purpose Drive Life by Rick Warren

Before you can know where you are going when you die, you must first know what you are. Paul tells us we are made up of three parts.

I Thes. 5:23: And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are a spiritual being (I Cor 15:44). God has a Spirit the Holy Spirit.
We have a body (the outward shell) that falls off at death (II Cor 5:8). God has a body, the Lord Jesus Christ.
We have a soul (Mark 8:36). God has a soul, God the Father.
Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

God made man in his own image (Genesis 1:26). God made man out of the dust of the ground (the body). He breathed into him the breath of life (the spirit), and he became a living soul (the soul).

Jesus when he died on the cross, He said, “Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit,” (Luke 23:46). The spirit went up, it went into heaven. His body went to the grave or the tomb of Joseph. His soul went right down through hell but was not left there (Acts 2:27-31) but went to a place were the Old Testament’s Saints were waiting for the perfect sacrifice. There was a place called hell where all the lost people went and there was a place for the ones that did what God told them to do called parades or Abraham’s bosom (Luke 16:19-25).

Eph 2:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
9: (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10: He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

Jesus takes the ones that were in Abraham’s bosom to heaven because now their salvation was complete (Matt 27:52-53). God remitted sins all through the Old Testament, but they were not redeemed (Heb 10:4; Ex 34:6-7). A saved person on this side of the cross dies; he is absent from the body and present wit the Lord (II Cor 5:8). People who believe that there is no hell but believe they just go to grave, don’t believe what the apostle Paul tells us in Philippians 1:23 to depart, and to be with Christ is far better. The unsaved person this side of the cross dies, where does he go? He can’t go to heaven because he has not believed that Christ died for his sins (I Cor 15:1-4). He can’t go to Abraham’s bosom because it is empty. He can’t go to purgatory because there isn’t any purgatory. He goes straight too hell (Luke 16:23; Mark 9:44, 46, 48; Matt 25:41). He stays in hell until the great white throne judgment when death and hell is delivered up and judged and then cast into the lake of fire (Rev 20:13; 20:15).
How could the unsaved be in the grave if they were delivered up out of Hell? When hell is delivered up and they are judged they are cast into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is a place where the fire is not quenched and they are tormented day and night forever and ever (Rev 20:10).

Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

The saved person that goes to be with the Lord when he dies must also be judged but not at the same place or time as the unsaved. He will be judged at the Judgment seat of Christ not for his sins but for the things done in the body where they are good or bad (I Cor 3:12-15; II Cor 5:10). After the judgment seat of Christ, rewards will be given for the good things he has done and he will receive a body fashioned like unto his glorious body (Phil 3:21).

The only way to get to heaven is to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. And to do that......all you have to do is believe with all your heart and soul that Jesus died for you, then simply ask Him to forgive you from all of your sins and to save you from hell. It's that simple. He loves you and wants to save you. Without Christ, you won't get to heaven. Please contact me sometime...I would love to chat! :)
