My husband is a landscaper by trade, and I work in a professional role. I make more money in my position, and have benefits and vacation time. Since our son was born, he's been staying home full time with him and I've been going to work. It has saved us money on daycare, and I know my son is safe. Yet, my family still tends to refer to him as a "freeloader". He does ALL the housework, laundry, etc. I usually have a meal waiting for me when I get home too. It works for us, but my family's attitude towards him really pisses me off.

I have a househusband who does all the cooking and cleaning while I work. We don't have kids yet, but if we ever do, he'll be the stay at home dad.

Up until I went on maternity leave a month ago, my hubby stayed at home while I worked. I worked 63 hours a week, and just loved my job very much. I worked all three shifts, so it was kind of impossible for my husband to work, too. Now, he is working and I am at home. We've been trading on and off since Ricky was born. It gives us both a chance to take a break from working or take a break from being home all the time, and lets each other walk in the other's shoes. It's nice.

My brother was one of those guys when their son was younger, and I would be happy to do so if my wife could just make more money than me - I know the Mr. Mom job is much harder than what I do all day, but I would just love to have that experience of being there for my little people during that time in their life. Plus they're all in school this coming year, and that would be awesome...

My husband is disabled and he stays home and raises our grandson. When our kids were young I was a stay at home mom, but now I work and my husband stays home and takes care of things. Its just how things worked out for us.
