If you support gay marriage, do you also support gay sibling marriage?

Question

It is unlawful for siblings to marry primarily because of the health of any offspring. But the gay marriage of siblings cannot produce offspring. If you support gay marriage, do you also support gay sibling marriage? If not, why not (please do not include an explanation like "because it's wrong" or "that's just sick"--if those reasons are invalid for gay marriage, they are invalid here too.)

If you're gay, your sibling probably is too.
Gay people are more likely to be incestous.
Gay people can't be parents.
Incest laws are only for the straight population.

what I was hoping to hear:
An argument for laws allowing gay marriage, but still prohibiting gay sibling marriage. (besides "Yer dumb!"--which is all I've heard thus far)

no because 'gay people' cant change the way they are (liking the same sex), but sibling marriage is something you CAN help (you can find yourself another mate).
everyone deserves to be happy, but why would you want to marry your brother or sister anyway?
and what a coincidence it would be that TWO SIBLINGS would turn out to BOTH be gay and BOTH fall in love with each other. homosexuality is not that common and the chances are of both siblings being gay (AND loving each other in that way) are very slim.
oh yea, and it IS just plain weird.

ps: no. WRONG. if youre gay, your sibling will NOT be gay, it is not excactly genetic, which is, of course, a topic we could argue about forever.

I don't believe that giving gays the right to marry should change any existing law, like not marrying your cousin, etc...Anyhow, do you think that gay people's siblings are gay? Gay people can have babies, through surrogacy, and sometimes they will choose a sibling, because that is closest to the DNA, but they use the other partner's sperm or egg, not their own. And, not all straight couples have children, so really, it isn't a question of marriage, as children aren't required for marriage, but a question of reproductivity, and right now, gays can have children if they want, but they can't get married. Since they can already have children,( and use a sibling for surrogacy,) why can't gays marry each other?

That's the dumbest thing anybody said here. You're reaching, buddy. First off, in order for a gay couple to have any children, they're either going to have to adopt or artificially inseminate (that's when you put semen into an egg in a test tube...is this against your religion as well?). Secondly, there's no guarantee that the children will become gay themselves. Thirdly, I'm not sure about your backwards state, but up here in Canada, it's against federal law even for two gay siblings to have any type of sexual activity. Now why don't you run along now, and go back to school.

two lesbians to reproduce? If science is done correctly, it takes a sperm and an egg. The only way is either natural or implantation. Last I heard, a woman can only produce eggs. She was created for childbearing.

These homosexuals came from heterosexual parents. How can this be passed down in DNA if it is not present in their parents?

What is Gay Sibling marriage? When two brothers, or two sisters marry?

It's sick for sure, but there won't be any offspring from that union either. Gay is gay and that means same sex and that means they can't multiply.

In the argument for gays to marry I have never seen two brothers or two sisters arguing to marry each other. I think gays have more sense than that.

Look, I don't support gay marriage due to religious beliefs HOWEVER, saying that marriage is simply for raising off springs really demeans the sacraments of marriage. If marriage is only meant to produce offspring, should barren women not get married? Should women who's already hit menopause not get married? Should women who've had a hysterectomy not get married? Your argument is full of holes.

Great question because if you live together for so long in many states you are considered married via common law. There are a lot of brothers and sisters that live together. Then you have the IRS implications too. Money can make people do strange things.

I believe that a lot of people in this country look at gays and lesbians as sinful people and wrong for asking to be married. I think that people today should not look at them as to people who are committing a sinful act,but two people who love each other just any other couple. People need to understand that gay and lesbian couple just want the same thing in life just like straight couples. They want to start families and have the same problems that straight couples have as well as the same benefits as straight couples. Gay and lesbian couples are not that different from straight couples. I mean they could be the people living next door or the people you see at malls or any place else. I that alot of siblings are not going to want to get married, but I think its up to them to decided if they want to do that. I can not go up to them and tell them its wrong let alone have them tell me what I do is wrong. People should have the right to decide what is right and what is wrong for themselves. Other people tend to go up to others and judge them which in my opinion is wrong. People should not push their beliefs or morals on other people.
