why is it every time i get on these questions there's a 13 or 14 year old looking for a b/f or g/f. who else thinks that these kids should have to b e at least 16 to get on anything other than education or cartoon network? or am i crazy? do these kids not see what goes on in the real world?

i'm not saying they shouldn't have a b/f or g/f i don't think they should b e aloud to do so on the internet. there are too many psycho's out there.

I guess they think nothing will ever happen to them. I don't get it but I say let them watch Dee Snider's Strangeland and maybe they'll reconsider.

I agree with u, but I also remember wanting a bf real bad when I was thirteen. All the girls I knew had one, and they seemed really happy and had fun with their guys, and they got their first kiss and it was all they could speak of for a week. I just wanted to see what it was like, so I prayed for one for ten years and finally got one, and now I agree with u, because I waited and I got a good thing, instead of going throgh a bunch of bad relationships and eventually settling on a guy who was remotely nice to me. I think it all comes down to maturity. TV plays a role in this, but u also want to experience what other teens are going through, and hormones take over too, and some kids even feel grown up when they're in a relationship. But I'm sure if u talk to adults, if they'd have to live their lives over again, they would've waited to do some of the things they did because of unconcious peer pressure. Yeah, kids shouldn't date 'til they're atleast sixteen, but it's hard when ur hormones tell u at thirteen that this guy in class is really dreamy, and totally hot, and really nice to u, and all u wanna do is hug him and make-out....then ur best friend comes over to chat about her latest bf. It's worse for boys, since it's accepted that they only want one thing, that's all they let their brains focus on...and to do that, u need a girl...and it takes maturity to control those urges and feelings..and as we all know, most boys mature slower than girls do. Besides, TV, and magazines etc, makes it seem like sex is all teens want, but I bet that there are a lot of teens, who're probably real nervous, or chickened out when it came to their first encounter(I include kissing in this). If none of the teens today wanted a romantic relationship, then the pressure to get a bf/gf wouldnt be so great. Everyone just wants to fit in, and atleast in that arena...I'm glad that I now do.

the most exciting thing tht can happen to anyone is to fall in love for the 1st time and all they are doin is looking for tht feeling im not saying tht they will find true love or love at all at 13 and 14 but thts what the whole world does they look for love so they are just doing what seems right to them because its what everyone else is doing

exactly and actually they dont need to see what goes on here! yes there should be an 18 or older rule for this... but would that stop all of them? no they find their way to chat rooms.. it's scary, word of advice for you young teens read up on all the teenagers that have been raped kidnapped or killed from meeting sickos off the internet!

me totlay i have a friend sister is in the fifth grade and she had a b/f in the 4 grade and she is still dating i didnt date that age its tv it gotten in to them
