She wanted to go to Burger King to try their chicken sandwich.
Chickens can't fly or hop,maybe she could have hitched a ride on the piggy's back. Only the chicken knows why she does what she does.

because it had suicidal tendancies. It was probably running away from the mental chicken hospital and towards the pharmacy to pick up his psycho chicken meds.

chickens can't really fly, it takes to much energy to hop, and they have no thumbs so they can't hitch a ride ...... the best thing for it to do is walk across the road ....... why? ...... only the chicken knows, ....... the chicken is wise ......

it got its head cut off..so was running around like a chicken with its head cut off.just happened to cross the road.

he didn't have to, it was just dark and he couldn't see where he was going, and when the sun rose, he found himself on the other side of the dirt road.
