If dying only means going to a wonderful happy place, why do most Christians try their best to stay alive? Why get health insurance? Im not saying you should committ suicide. I'm saying you should be happy if someone kills you. At your funeral, everyone should celebrate and smile. It's not like they would never see you again. They should just hope someone would kill them so they can join you in heaven. Why cry at funerals? Why even call it a funeral. They should call it a going away party. IF you really believe what you claim.

If I die, I know that I'll go to heaven, but I also know that I won't see alot of my friends and families in heaven who aren't a Christian whether they've passed on or still alive. I don't fear death itself, but I don't want to die until I am called to go home by God. I want to do all I can while I'm still alive to talk to those of my friends and families who aren't Christians so that one day I know that I'll see them in heaven when my time has come for me to go home.

Sure I cry at funerals, coz I know that i'll miss that person and like I mentioned, not all my friends are Christians, so therefore I know that I won't see them again ever! that makes me sad. I've been to many many happy 'going home parties', and I have to say, yes sure I was sad, but I am human, and feeling sad is just a part of the grieving and mourning process.

God's plan was for man to die in his sleep, but because man sinned, then dying other ways happened. There is a Bible verse that says "Why should you die before your time?" So, murder would definately be someone else's choice of when you should die. It is no one else's choice to make. I agree with you about funerals. If I know someone is heaven bound, I cannot cry and carry on like, "oh poor thing!" I am happy for them. Yes, it should be a going away party! But, life insurance is for the living. This is something we leave to our loved ones, but which also pays for our buriel. No big deal, really.

Now that is funny... The problem with dieing is that you will leave people behind that love you and will be sad that you are gone. As a Christian and a human being the last thing that I want to do is make people I love unhappy or cause any unnecessary pain for them. As far as being murdered...well that to me would be very painful and that doesn't seem like a very good way to get to heaven. As far as health insurance goes for paying for the sick... well being sick is no fun either and there can be a lot of pain involved in that too. Now if people enjoy the pain and don't care about thier children or spouses or family and friends and they are desprate to get to heaven then more power to them in purposely suffering through what is killing them. But for me I don't enjoy pain either. As far as committing suicide that is the quickest way to get to hell... As far as dieing naturally... I was with my daddy when he passed away, just a few weeks ago, and he died very peacefully. But I do think that funerals should be more of a celibration of life than death... Yes we are sad due, to loosing someone we love, to death, but then again, if they beleive in heaven and God grace which was provided to us through Jesus Christ they are far better off. But I sometimes beleive that living on earth is Hell. Just look around... another thing why do you think that God placed nerves in our bodys so that we would feel pain so that we wouldn't do spupid things that you recommended all Christians to do...

People morn because we are selfish. Think about it. If someone dies, you're usually sad because you'll never see them again, not because they may be going to heaven or hell. You're right; people should really celebrate the deceased person's life and the fact that they will forever be in paradise, but it's hard for us to see past that because subconsciously we think of how it affects OUR life.

Also, I don't think anyone could ever enjoy being murdered. Do you like it when someone steals from you? Well, a murderer takes away your life; I don't see how that would be enjoyable to anyone under any circumstance. However, Christians do have the comfort of knowing that there are better things to come. I'm not afraid of death, but by the same token, I don't want to die.

We believe that we have a mission in life to tell other people about Heaven and how to get there. That's why we want health insurance, and take care of our bodies. Also in the Bible, God tells you your body is a temple to take care of it. No matter what other people say, i don't think God is wasteful and he doesn't want us to be wastefull either. As for as the murdered thing, throughout history many people have been glad to give up their lives. We also like to call funerals "Going home parties".

i don't even know where to start. Christians (and for that matter most people) would not be happy to be murdered. Just because we believe in God and heaven doesn't mean we're going to run out and be happy that we got shot in the face. People are crying in funerals because you got killed in such a horrible way in the first place. Funerals are not for the dead they are for the living to try to cope with someone's death; that's why they're crying.
P.S. you contradicted yourself

Sure. I don't fear death, but I also want to do what I can with what I have. Health insurance isn't to stay alive, it is to help you through health issues so life doesn't suck while you are sick. Anyone who thinks their health insurance will keep them alive hasn't heard that life has a 100% fatality rate.
Heck, I want there to be a party when I die. But chances are, people are going to miss me when I am gone, like a friend gone on a long trip. So, they will mourn for their own loss, while celebrating my gain.
Do you have life insurance? Do you mourn the deaths of friends/family? Do you lock your doors at night? We are all human.

Why have health insurance? Because its nice to be able to get allergy medicine, dental work, etc and make your quality of life while you're here on earth better. Christians should not hope to die, they know the Lord will take them when he intends too. Christians have been happy to die for their beliefs, that's why we have martyrs. At Christian funerals they do say "They're in a better place", "Rejoice because they are now with our Father", etc but our weak mortal self mourns the individual because we won't see them, hug them, talk to them again until who knows when.

Great question! You know, the only reason why people are afraid is that you can’t find that in the Bible. The Bible teaches something very different. Here is a excellent article on the subject. Hope you enjoy the light shone by the truth! http://www.watchtower.org/library/w/2000/10/1/article_02.htm

your right about that and i see it all the time in christianity and i find it funny that they are to go to heaven when they die but they fear death sounds kind of stupid if you ask me. maybe just maybe they are not sure if they will go to heaven so they want to stay alive to see what will happen to there fellow christians.

i know first hand that christians do not go to heaven but to there own personal hell and infact i can even state that i have been in heaven and in hell and i have not met one christian in heaven yet to this day
