Just wondereing because Moses died a few verses before the end. Did someone else take over (and if so at what point?) or did he write about the future with his prophetic abilities like he was writing about the past? Plus it just seems weird that Moses would write about himself in the 3rd person so much.

Torah was "written" by G-d. The Physical part of the writing was done by Moses and Joshua.

Moses wrote the whole thing. He finished it with his divine knowledge that G-D gave him.
