It's not a crap joke. I really actually wanted to know. Just thought people would give nasty answers if I asked it in the biology section and tell me to put it here. And do people honestly believe there has always been roads? Because, not meaning to be rude or anything, there haven't always been roads.

On the bare earth....they used to be called earth-runners,you see.
Before cobbled roads became the vogue -then they were cobble-runners.
But nowadays,only tarred roads that stretch for miles will do,thank you very much.

Roadrunner is the name given to an animal, it was about long before roads of any description were invented, so it made it's own trails.
