Your mothers first cousin is a child born to her mother or fathers sibling(brother or sister). A second cousin would be a child born to the first cousin. It goes down the line after that. A first cousin to your mom would be your second cousin.

Your mother's first cousin is the son/daughter of her aunt/uncle. This person then becomes your second cousin. Her child is your third cousin.

She is you second and her child is your third, but u can just call them cousins all the same or you can call your moms cousin your aunt or uncle. Its up to you.
